Like an Acacia
After years of seeing you, it felt like an acacia has grown within me too
Your tiny leaves fall
I remember many faces
Those I left behind in the dust of time
I love them for this silent voice of mine
As if they spring from nowhere.
Within you are twigs,
leaves, yellow flowers, thorns,
bark, color, scent, gum, elasticity, and roots
I too am thorny and leafy in many places
This earth oozes into me
Gibberish drips from everywhere
Like your spring-like form,
Your numerous leaves fall day and night
As they float over the river
So many herons pass by, tearing them apart
As they bloom freely on the earth
It's so vibrating feeling
that every tree resonates
with your silent voice
Your long, spreading branches
touch the sky in the same way
like birds alight on clouds
and a line emerges through the emptiness
Your twigs creates a word, a color
When someone fears you
I extend through you an open invitation
to the sleeping, frightened things and people around
Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day 😊🙏 @vikbuddy
