Not Getting a HiveBR Vote? See What's Changed! (Post-Proposal 18 Guide)

In today's video, I'll talk to you about an important topic that has been generating questions: Proposal 18 from the HiveBR community, which completely revamped our curation system last month. I've seen a lot of people using the #hivebr tag incorrectly, and therefore not receiving the community's vote, and I want to explain in detail why, detailing the new rules so that everyone can understand how it works and how to qualify to receive our support.

First, the basics: the #hivebr tag is intended for content written in Portuguese (whether Brazilian or Portuguese). If your native language is another language, such as Spanish or English, you can use the tag, as long as you also include a Portuguese version in your post, just as we Brazilians often post in English. The goal is to strengthen content in our language within Hive.

Now, let's move on to the new voting system, which is cumulative and can range from 0% to 100%. It is divided into two main areas:

"Hive Best Practices" (up to 40%) and "Support and Participation in the HiveBR Community" (up to 75%).

In Best Practices, we evaluate your KE ratio – the relationship between the Hive Power you keep and the amount you withdraw. If your KE ratio is between 0 and 1.5, you gain +10% in voting weight; between 1.5 and 3, you gain +5%; above 3, you gain nothing by this criterion. We also look at delegation: if you delegate less than 30% of your HP, you gain +10%; between 30% and 50%, +5%; above 50%, nothing. And an important bonus: if you are NOT powering down, you gain +20%! In other words, just with good practices from those who invest and maintain their power on the platform, it is already possible to guarantee 40% of the vote.

In the Community Support and Participation section, other factors come into play. Delegating to the @hivebr.voter account earns you a bonus if you are among the Top 40 delegators (20% for the Top 10, 15% for 11th-20th, 10% for 21st-30th, and 5% for 31st-40th). Keeping the HBR token in stake also counts: for every 10 HBR staked (not liquid), you earn +1%, up to a maximum of +20% (with 200+ HBR stakes). Following the community curation trail (@hivebr.voter) earns +5%. Being a "Verified User" by our team (process via Discord, focused on identifying real accounts and avoiding alts/bots, no KYC required) is worth +10%. Posting directly to the HiveBR community (choosing it when posting) adds +5%. Defining @hivebr as the beneficiary of 5% or more of your post gives you another +5%. Finally, being an active Contributor or Moderator of the community gives you +10%.

Adding it all up, the score can exceed 100% (reaching 115%, but the vote goes up to 100%). We did this on purpose to give those who have less Hive Power (and cannot enter the delegation ranking) a chance to still achieve a good percentage of votes through other forms of participation and good practices. It is important to remember that the limit is ONE vote per account each day (it is checked on the day the post was published).

This video was a bit long just explaining the rules, so I decided to split it into two. In this one, we focus on understanding each criterion of Proposal 18. In the next video (which I will probably publish on Friday), I will provide practical examples of posts that received different percentages of votes, showing how this score actually works. Tenho visto muita gente usando a tag #hivebr incorretamente, logo, sem receber o voto da comunidade, e quero explicar em detalhes o porquê, detalhando as novas regras para que todos possam entender como funciona e como se qualificar para receber nosso apoio.

Primeiro, o básico: a tag #hivebr destina-se a conteúdo escrito em português (seja português do Brasil ou de Portugal). Se sua língua nativa é outra, como espanhol ou inglês, você pode sim usar a tag, desde que inclua também uma versão em português no seu post, assim como nós brasileiros frequentemente postamos em inglês. O objetivo é fortalecer o conteúdo em nossa língua dentro da Hive.

Agora, vamos ao novo sistema de votação, que é cumulativo e pode ir de 0% a 100%. Ele é dividido em duas grandes áreas:

"Boas Práticas da Hive" (até 40%) e "Apoio e Participação na Comunidade HiveBR" (até 75%).

Nas Boas Práticas, avaliamos seu KE ratio – a relação entre o Hive Power que você mantém e o que retira. Se seu KE ratio está entre 0 e 1.5, você ganha +10% no peso do voto; entre 1.5 e 3, ganha +5%; acima de 3, não ganha nada por este critério. Ou seja, só com boas práticas de quem investe e mantém seu poder na plataforma, já é possível garantir 40% do voto.

Na parte de Apoio e Participação na Comunidade, entram outros fatores. Delegar para a conta @hivebr.voter rende bônus se você estiver entre os Top 40 delegadores (20% para o Top 10, 15% para 11º-20º, 10% para 21º-30º e 5% para 31º-40º). Manter o token HBR em stake também conta: a cada 10 HBR em stake (não líquido), você ganha +1%, até um máximo de +20% (com 200+ HBR stake). Seguir a trilha de curadoria da comunidade (@hivebr.voter) garante +5%. Ser um "Usuário Verificado" pela nossa equipe (processo via Discord, focado em identificar contas reais e evitar alts/bots, sem necessidade de KYC) vale +10%. Postar diretamente na comunidade HiveBR (escolhendo-a na hora de publicar) adiciona +5%. Definir a @hivebr como beneficiária de 5% ou mais do seu post rende outros +5%. Por fim, ser um Colaborador ou Moderador ativo da comunidade te dá +10%.

Somando tudo, a pontuação pode passar de 100% (chegando a 115%, mas o voto vai até 100%). Fizemos isso de propósito para dar chance a quem tem menos Hive Power (e não consegue entrar no ranking de delegação) de ainda assim atingir um bom percentual de voto através das outras formas de participação e boas práticas. É importante lembrar que o limite é de UM voto por conta a cada dia (é checado a o dia publicado da postagem).

Este vídeo ficou um pouco longo só explicando as regras, então decidi dividir em dois. Neste aqui, focamos em entender cada critério da Proposta 18.
