Hive Savings Goal Status Update January 2026 - Brand New Year, Brand New Start

Good day everyone, happy new year to all of you as we embrace the start of 2026. I hope you have had an awesome Christmas holidays and starting your engines as we prepare to charge up and grow in work and also savings on Hive Blockchain. Since it is a brand new year, I will be doing some goal setting for my savings for the upcoming new year. But first let us look at how we did for 2025 to give us a good estimate on our capability of saving.

2025 Goal Review

Let us review how we did in 2025 based on what we have on 1st Jan 2025 and 31st Dec 2025

Primary Goal: Reaching 18k HP by 31st December 2025
Secondary Goal: Stretch primary goal and push towards 20k HP by 31st December 2025

Here is how we started:

HP: 10195

And here's how we ended:

HP: 19216

Growth is at 9021 HP which I think it was a relative good outcome though we were shy of the secondary goal by 800 HP.

2026 Goal Setting

With a strong growth of 9000 HP in 2025, I would want set a goal of 10,000HP more from the secondary goal of last year. Which means to say, I will be shooting for 30,000HP as the goal for 2026.

And will I have a secondary goal?

At this moment, I will just focus on a primary goal than to be distracted to fulfil a secondary goal which could deviate from my primary goal.

Delta to goal is current at 10559 HP.

I do hope I did not set an unrealistic goal for myself to chase but this is something that I do hope I can achieve by the end of the year. And as usual, I will be tracking this progress regularly to ensure we are on the right trajectory and moving towards hitting the target.

And in terms of setting target, setting easy target serve no meaning so we need to set something that stretches us a little.

The enablers for the goal will not really change. And will be discussed item by item.

Blogging on Hive Blockchain
The bulk of the HP growth came from this particular and it will continue to be the main driving force towards hitting the goal. I will continue to work on my blog and share amazing food, places and also touch on the games I play on Hive blockchain. And I seek your continued support on curation.

Layer 2 Token Management
There are many layer 2 tokens on Hive that provide some form of passive income. And there are also that have been accumulated while blogging and curating. Actively managing these tokens are important for growth, so here are some of the layer 2 tokens that actually generate liquid hive or swap.hive for me and boost my HP growth.

Liquid Hive Sources:

Holding EDSI tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.088 HIVE per week.
Holding ALIVE tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.010 HIVE per day.
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.006 HIVE per day.

Yes, I am adding back DAB since the payout become more consistent.

And with this it gives me a grand total of 0.2 HP per week

SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.0134 SWAP.HIVE per week.

Now we are rebuilding everything from lowest point as we continue to seek coins that will yield us some passive hive one way or another.

HP Delegation:

To ensure I have enough liquid hive for each hive power up day, I delegated HP to @ecency. Reason being that hive dividends for delegating is being send out each day and if I am not wrong, it is 100% dividends. On top of that, there will be ecency points being given out which will come in handy to get things on ecency such as promote or boost+. The APR is good as per what I have monitored thus far and will use this as a base anchor for my HP growth.

External Faucets
I am still doing my time to time external faucet making use of small pockets of free time to clock up more crypto. Not a huge amount but will suffice for small purchases in the blockchain.

Rollercoin
I am still playing Rollercoin up till now and gaining much traction in terms of getting more miners for my mining room. Slowly but surely, I will be able to mine more crypto from there on a weekly to monthly basis. Right now, more of the proceeds go into further strengthening my miners and combining them to make stronger ones to up mining power. Simple pleasure, who know extras can be added onto here to boost my Hive savings.

Closing
A strong year in 2025 though I did not hit the secondary target that I set for myself. And that will be further rolled into the goal for this year as we continue to embark on saving more hive throughout the year and strengthening positions. Keep saving and I will see you in the next update.

Saturday savers club is already stopped but I just wanna say, we need to keep the spirit going and continue saving. Club can go missing but the spirit will last.
