dCity Progress Update #60
Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope your week had been good so far. We are lining up towards National Day this weekend in Singapore which means a long weekend and we only need to return to office next Tuesday after we end the work week this Friday. I am glad that I have continued to progress in my SIM holdings.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City and Intermediate Plans
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

The 105 SIM for income and 14 SIM from war so far had been a decent daily income for me as I continue to build up my SIM holdings. The thing for me is that, I choose to not deviate from my goal of pushing up my SIM holdings by significantly buying more structures or people cards to strengthen the city. The unemployment rate is high, I still have no clear solution for that without hurting my SIM holdings too much.
But there is something more glaring that I need to fix is that I actually have a big pool of students that are actually sitting in the market which were all converted young citizens. Not sure if they will pop to become debt students but this could be something that will catch me off guard.
As compared to Young Citizen Market, Student market is a little lower in terms of price, will monitor a little before converted my "young citizens" to student friendly pricing or just wait out till they are ready to graduate.
Welcome New Citizens
Since the last update, there were 3 young citizen that become a student. And yes, all of them are in the market. Somehow the accelerated growth happened again. Though what I am really looking out for is for them to become working citizens and for me to really dig deep and find a citizen heavy building to house them.

The growth for this week is at approximately 17k. A little lazy this week and didn't work too much on converting the layer 2 into SIM. But one small pain point right now is that my young citizens before getting sold, have become students. Nevertheless, I will continue pushing for this and try to close it asap.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 621,961 SIM. Nothing much on the young citizen sales but mainly coming from layer 2 selling. I do hope I can continue to gather more layer 2 tokens (mainly tribe tokens) and use them to fund for my SIM gathering.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
The average value is still catching up to my actual SIM holdings and with my current additional injection with gap still maintained. Delta right now still maintained at about 70k from actual SIM holdings. Glad to see an increase in the daily hive drip. Let's see how much faster I can push myself for time to manage and increase the SIM holdings.
Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.81 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure has a minimal increase probably due to the changing SIM price. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.
Closing
Thank you all for coming by and reading my update. Some of the things that are in game right now is a little weird with some young citizen "taking super soldier serum" and becoming student right away the next day. No matter how, key is to continue building and expand the city.
