Prelude
Greeting to all, it is coming to mid week and welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. I have already shared quite a substantial amount, hope the brief introduction and assessment have help you with your selection and decision whether or not to invest into cards and improve your collection. Today we will finish up the final 2 cards in the Rebellion core series. I have yet to talk about the archons/summoners for Rebellion core but I guess it should be rather self explanatory. From next week onwards, I will start to discuss about the newly released Conclave Arcana reward cards.

Rebellion Core Set Cards

Similar to the previous post for this series, we will begin discussing card from the Rebellion Core Set. Using a similar method when I reviewed the Soul Bound reward cards, I will be discussing about the growth of the cards and will give a simple review to whether or not investing into them will level up your game play or not. And let's continue our review and look at 2 dragon splinter legendary card.

Rage

Let's begin looking at the first dragon Splinter card, Rage. Wow, it is not often we see a card with such a high mana requirement, so for low mana match, this card will not work as it will chew up all your available mana. Therefore, this is a card for matches with massive mana to start with. However, when being able to use this to the fullest, this card is not easy card to face. At level 1, it will already have advantage by pure stats looking at how crazy the attack, armour and health is. And not only that, there is void and making it more resistant to magic attacks. And as this card grows, the craziest thing will be weapons training it can give attackless cards a 3 magic attack training which is really crazy. Then as it further develops, it gains life leech which is also crazy with 2 extra health to be gain each turn. Then finally at full form, this card can even make cards unable to heal with the affliction ability. This card is like a whole package that is really scary with only mana cost being the real downside to fit into various lineup when at lower mana.

Kei

Now we look at another dragon splinter card with a much more affordable mana cost. At level 1, this card already came with enfeeble and this card has reach which makes it a fantastic card to strike from position 2 and throwing out the enfeeble and gaining the speed advantage. As this card grow in level, it gains ambush which means that it can strike even before game start and give its impact. The next 2 abilities that it will gather are great ones too with true strike to certain the attack and also shatter which really allow this card to be a constant menace from 2nd position. Nice little package of abilities at a much lower mana requirement. More usable in matches and definitely a great addition to collection. If there is some kind of life leech that can be given to this card by archons, this card will be crazy.

Assessment
2 cards reviewed today from dragon splinter, both are really overpowering and both are very strong cards in their own way.

Rating wise, Rage would be getting a rating of 4.2/5 from me. The only downside of Rage is that the mana cost is really too big and the use case of it will be a little smaller unless we depend the fate only on 1 card. As for Kei, this card would be getting a rating of 4.5/5. Very strong card with abilities that complement each other to great impact.

My recommendation will be to get rage to at least level 3 to gain both weapons training and life leech, but of course, at level 1, this card is crazy enough and tough to handle. As for Kei, I would say level 2 is already a good starting point where there is ambush to help wreck tanks of your opponent's lineup.

Wrap Up
Rebellion contain amazing cards that are available within it and with Conclave Arcana establishing its foothold in the meta, synergies built amongst them will yield loads of advantage in the battlefield. Using the right cards at correct positions and ruleset will greatly elevate your gameplay. We have come to the end of the Rebellion core cards review and will move on to the next set in our next post.

Let's continue to grow and find path in modern as we journey on playing Splinterlands.

Rage is a beast, good only for high mana though
