Prelude
Greeting to all, a new week had started and welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. Knowing your cards well and knowing how good they are and how much level up you should do are key elements of getting your collection sufficiently ready to handle opponents that you meet in battle with consideration to the rulesets of the particular match.

Rebellion Core Set Cards

Similar to the previous post for this series, we will begin discussing card from the Rebellion Core Set. Using a similar method when I reviewed the Soul Bound reward cards, I will be discussing about the growth of the cards and will give a simple review to whether or not investing into them will level up your game play or not. And let's continue our review and look at 2 rare cards from neutral splinter in today's review.

Moxian Rebel

The first neutral splinter common card that we will reviewing today will be Moxian Rebel. This card was one of the most expensive rare cards in modern other than promo cards that sustain for a long period of time when Rebellion was released. Reason being that this is a card that gives weapon training to a set of Rebellion cards that had quite a large number of cards without attack. And the presence of this card give them life. Attackless cards suddenly being able to gain magic attack is crazy. Back then even when Chaos Legion was active, cards like Riftwing love to get boosted by this and given magic attack for so much more value. And the best thing is, after weapon trained, the cards cannot be dispelled and will continue doing magic damage. This card is a value adder and should be considered in your collection as you will find it so useable in many occasions and it is also Little League capable. One of the best cards released in the set.

Mad Ogre Anarchist

Next card we will look at will be Mad Ogre Anarchist. This is another card that when Rebellion was first released that caught my eye. This card felt similar to previous Chaos Legion Deeplurker and it is a neutral card which means, any Splinter can use it unless neutral cannot be used. I like the opportunity ability it has and that extra armour can also protect it. A simple fuss free card that can be used in multiple lineups. Scaling is rather decent and even at high levels gain immunity. However, for me, a low level copy of this is already a very good card to manoeuvre. If you are able to have inspire, this card can even hit harder and inflict more pain to the weakest health card on opponent side.

Assessment
2 rare cards that are being reviewed today of which both are really good cards and I do own these cards as well. And I have to say, they have been instrumental in my game play and have won me many battles. The price of Moxian Rebel had reduced by quite a bit now as compared to the past but still an awesome card that brings loads of synergy. Mad Ogre tend to go into fire splinter matches and we have melee barrage.

Rating wise, Moxian Rebel would be getting a rating of 4.5/5 from me. By itself, the stats of this card is nothing fantastic but the rating goes so high is because of its ability to enable others at a small mana cost. Many cards that look insignificant can be brought to life by this card and add so much value on the battlefield. As for Mad Ogre Anarchist, I would give it a rating of 4/5. Simple and easy to use card that fits into many lineup. Flexible and can punish hard with no significant downsides, anytime you are short of an attacker, this card can come in.

My recommendation will be to get Moxian to at level 1 suffice for weapons training which is the key use of this card and Mad Ogre Anarchist at level 4 if you can for the 3 melee attack, otherwise level 1/2 version of this card works well too!

Wrap Up
Rebellion do really have good cards that are available within itand with Conclave Arcana establishing its foothold in the meta, synergies built amongst them will yield loads of advantage in the battlefield. 2 very simple to use cards that really elevate your lineup. Do consider adding them to your collection.

Let's continue to grow and find path in modern as we journey on playing Splinterlands.

I never decided if mad ogre is good or not, it's useful, it's good, but it has low health
