Chapter 3 – Between the Sword and the Cradle

Lázaro's life was never just fantasy. While exploring virtual worlds, he held the most real universe of all in his arms: his baby. A small life that depended on him for everything.

Going from imagining space battles to wondering which shampoo to use for a three-month-old child was a brutal leap. And yet, it was there that Lázaro understood the true meaning of being a hero. Not the one who slays dragons, but the one who watches over a peaceful sleep, the one who finds answers in the midst of uncertainty.

The sword and the cradle coexisted in his hands. And although it sometimes seemed impossible to hold both worlds at once, Lázaro discovered that they needed each other. His son reminded him why it was worth fighting. His fantasies taught him that every hero begins by caring for something small.

Chapter 4 – Forbidden Questions

Living in Cuba taught him that not all answers are welcome. Asking why there is poverty, why some live with privileges while others lack the basics, why there are dollar stores when salaries are not enough even in pesos... these were questions many preferred to keep silent about.

But Lázaro was not born to remain silent. Every injustice pushed him to think beyond, to seek solutions, to dream of alternatives. Because even when the system tried to impose silence, his inner voice was stronger.

His forbidden questions were his form of resistance. And in each of them shone the spark of someone who refused to accept resignation as destiny.

Chapter 5 – Art as a Refuge

When reality became too heavy, Lázaro turned to art. He did not need grand museums; a photo transformed into a Pixar or anime style was enough to change his perception of the day. Finding beauty in the ordinary became his refuge.

Art was an escape, but also a reinvention. A face transformed into a digital watercolor, a scene rebuilt through a different aesthetic... these were ways of proving that everything can have another version, another face, another opportunity. Just as in life: there is always a second angle from which to look.

Capítulo 3 – Entre la espada y la cuna

La vida de Lázaro nunca fue solo fantasía. Mientras exploraba mundos virtuales, en sus brazos tenía el universo más real de todos: su bebé. Una pequeña vida que dependía de él para todo.

Pasar de imaginar batallas espaciales a preguntarse qué shampoo usar en un niño de tres meses era un salto brutal. Y sin embargo, era ahí donde Lázaro entendía el verdadero significado de ser héroe. No era el que derrotaba dragones, sino el que velaba por un sueño tranquilo, el que encontraba respuestas en medio de la incertidumbre.

La espada y la cuna convivían en sus manos. Y aunque a veces parecía imposible sostener ambos mundos, Lázaro descubrió que se necesitaban mutuamente. Su hijo le recordaba por qué valía la pena luchar. Sus fantasías le enseñaban que todo héroe comienza cuidando lo más pequeño.

Capítulo 4 – Preguntas prohibidas

Vivir en Cuba le enseñó que no todas las respuestas son bienvenidas. Preguntar por qué hay miseria, por qué unos viven con privilegios mientras otros carecen de lo básico, por qué existen tiendas en dólares cuando los salarios no alcanzan ni en pesos… eran interrogantes que muchos preferían callar.

Pero Lázaro no nació para callar. Cada injusticia lo empujaba a pensar más allá, a buscar soluciones, a soñar con alternativas. Porque aunque el sistema intentara imponer silencio, su voz interior era más fuerte.

Sus preguntas prohibidas eran su forma de resistencia. Y en cada una de ellas brillaba la chispa de alguien que no aceptaba la resignación como destino.

Capítulo 5 – El arte como refugio

Cuando la realidad pesaba demasiado, Lázaro recurría al arte. No necesitaba grandes museos: una foto convertida en estilo Pixar o anime ya era suficiente para cambiar su percepción del día. Encontrar la belleza en lo cotidiano se convirtió en su refugio.

El arte era escape, pero también reinvención. Un rostro transformado en acuarela digital, una escena reconstruida con otra estética… eran formas de demostrar que todo puede tener otra versión, otra cara, otra oportunidad. Así como en la vida: siempre hay un segundo ángulo desde donde mirar.
