Oh Good Old Days

The year 2019 is still fresh in my mind when Hive-engine was launched, then as Steem-engine. I was endeared to the SPORTS token because it was cheap and in a little whole I was able to stake millions of it to reward other creators. Interestingly, there was a time my SPORTS upvote were worth $0.5. The Sportstalk community was booming until things started dispersing and the community creator quited Hive.

Then, we had some great games building around the sports niche such as Rabona, 1UP and the Genesis League Sports games. It's sad that some of these games which had great prospect are no more.

In case you are new, Rabona was a massive-multiplayer online soccer management game built on the Hive blockchain. Players decide how to build and develop their team, take on the role of the head coach of their team, and manage the financials of their clubs. It was an interesting game.

1UP was a NFT game with its peculiarity. On the other hand, Genesis League Goals (GLG) is a soccer-based rapid tactic strategy game that will utilize NFTs, cryptocurrency. In Genesis League Goals, players will engage in the game by collecting their favorite MLSPA player cards, building their decks, and competing in turn-based, head-to-head matches for the winning score.

The SPORTS token had been my "first love" in Hive's Layer2 asset. It's still dear to me though a portfolio that was worth over $2k is now nearly in rubbles. I'm still hopeful with projects like #Sportsblock springing up and more.

I'm just remembering the good old days, and I hope they come again!
