Hunter With A Scalpel. My review

It had actually been awhile since I watched a movie and that is because I had so much to do that I barely had time but last weekend I just wanted to unwind and so I went through moviebox searching for some interesting movie to watch.

I came across the k-drama titled“HUNTER WITH A SCALPEL” as a medical student I knew what the scalpel is actually used for but I was very curious and the title left me wandering how one could hunt with a scalpel. I felt there was a hidden story beneath the title of the drama and that prompted me to download it immediately.

Firstly, I will give a brief summary of the k-drama“HUNTER WITH A SCALPEL”
Hunter with a scalpel centers on forensic medicine and how the skilled was used to search for and reveal the truth. Permit me to focus only on the key actors.

Se-hyun is a forensic doctor, a very skilled lady, one day, while doing an autopsy, she discovered the same thing her father usually do whenever he kills people, the exact same method of her serial killer father.

This did not happen just once but on several occasions and news of people being killed that way was all over the state. She was so scared when she realized that almost all the corpse had the same pattern of being killed and it dawn on her that it is probably her father whom she taught was long dead was now closer.

She realized that her father might be doing that to send a message across to her that he is still alive. Though she was not really certain but was really eager to search and know the truth, she decided to go on a hunt in order to hide the past and reveal the truth even before the police get to the truth first.

Another person who was very determined to search for the truth was Detective Jung Jung Hyun. He has always wanted to save lives and made up his mind to find out who the serial killer was.

His higher ups would always query him and a lot of things happened to stop him from continuing the investigation but he still went on.

In the end the truth was revealed and with the help of Se-hyun, her father Yoon Jo Kyun was finally arrested.
This is just a little part of the whole, the whole twist and interplay in the drama makes it worth watching.

THE LESSONS I LEARNT
The drama made me understand that sometimes the people closest to us can also be the most dangerous, and the hard truth most times can be very hard to face.

I also learnt that the quest for the truth comes with a lot of risks, pain and hard choices.

so many times, trauma and family secrets are deeper than what we think, but how we respond to them determines who we become at the end of the day.

I also learnt that, the truth is what really matters, even though she still had a soft spot for her father she still wanted to end it all in order to save all other lives that were at stake.

The drama was a very good one and I recommend you give it a try because it is worth watching.
