El día que vencí la pereza // The Day I Conquered Laziness [ESP-ENG]

Hola, queridos amigos, bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog.

Justo después de las vacaciones de Navidad, yo no viajé, me quedé en casa, pero mis padres y hermanos sí lo hicieron. Me trajeron un montón de cosas ricas y lo disfruté mucho, pero a veces, cuando la vida te da alegrías, siempre viene acompañada de alguna responsabilidad, ¡y zas! Me dijeron que mi tía vendría a visitarnos y se quedaría un tiempo, lo que sin duda significaba que tendría que limpiar un poco. Tendría que limpiar una de las habitaciones y mantenerla ordenada para que ella pudiera estar cómoda.
Al principio pensé que no me supondría mucho trabajo, ya que estoy acostumbrada a limpiar la casa y eso no sería nada nuevo para mí. Pero, ¿sabéis qué? En cuanto abrí la puerta de esa habitación, mi confianza desapareció.

Todo estaba muy desordenado, el polvo había hecho justicia a los ventiladores y los muebles, y todo estaba cubierto de polvo. Las arañas habían tejido sus telas en cada rincón y grieta de la casa y el techo.

Me detuve y respiré hondo, preguntándome por dónde empezar exactamente. Casi me da pereza y paso de limpiar, pero eso no serviría de nada, porque al final sería yo quien tendría que limpiarlo más tarde, así que el mejor momento era ese, lo que me hizo armarme de valor para hacerlo.

Entré y empecé a hacerlo poco a poco, moviendo las cosas lentamente, limpiando el polvo de todas las superficies y tirando todos los residuos y objetos inútiles que abarrotaban la habitación. Limpié con cuidado las aspas del ventilador, no me hagan caso, no soy muy alta, así que tuve que usar algo para apoyarme y no caerme.

Quité la espuma y debajo, donde solía estar, estaba todo muy desordenado, así que lo barrí todo y fregué la habitación de una vez.

Al menos esta vez mi pereza no se salió con la suya, la vencí y, poco a poco, la habitación quedó finalmente lista para recibir a nuestro invitado. Fue mucho trabajo, pero gracias a Dios por darme fuerzas.
Así fue como transformé la habitación, haciéndola acogedora y fresca.

Hello great friends, welcome once again to my blog.

So right after the Christmas vacation, actually I did not travel, I was all at home but my parents and siblings did. So they brought lot of goodies back and I enjoyed a lot but sometimes, when life gives you enjoyment it would always come with some responsibility and boom! I was told that my aunty would be coming to visit us and she will stay for a while and that definitely means that I would have to do some cleaning. I would have to clean up one of the rooms and keep it tidy so she could stay conveniently.

Initially, I thought it would not be so much work for me, already I am used to cleaning up the house and so that one would not be a new thing for me. But guess what, as soon as I opened the door to that room my confidence disappeared.

Things were all so scattered, dust had done justice to the fans, furniture and everywhere was dusty, spiders had beautifully built their webs at every corner and cranny of the house and ceiling.

I paused and breathe in asking myself where exactly I would start from, I almost got lazy right away and skip the cleaning but that wouldn’t even work because I will still be the one to clean it later and so the best time was then, that made me to summon courage to just do it.

I went in, started doing it one a time, I started moving things out slowly, I dusted all the surfaces, dispose every waste and useless items that cluttered the room. I gently cleaned the fan blades, don’t mind me ooo, I am not tall so I had to use something to support me so I would not fall off.

I took off the foam, and underneath where the foam used to be kept was really messy, I swept them all and moped the room at once.

At least my laziness didn’t have its way this time, I conquered it and gradually the room is finally set to receive our guest, it was a whole lot of work but thank God for strength.
So that was how I transformed the room making it cozy and cool.
