I do have a substantial holding in actual physical gold that I began slowly accumulating starting ten years ago. It is my financial bedrock should things get bad and a treasure I wish to pass on to my children as their inheritance. Having crypto currency is a newer addition to my portfolio and I find as a good compliment to holding precious metals.
