Curious, since I always go through and respond to my notifications around the same time every day, so I have no idea why there would be such a gap, and cool.

Yes, I'm really not looking forward to it, but a line has been crossed, so it seems quite necessary at this point, much to my intense chagrin, because I love Arch, and I've been using it every day for over 8 years now. There's a huge schism in the FOSS and Linux communities over this issue at the moment, as many significant FOSS projects seem to have been compromised. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I have read content from some people who said that that simply using a FOSS app or operating system (distro) that you know is secure enough already counts as a "vote" or support (no donations, code contributions, and/or user feedback necessary). 🧘‍♂️

Yep , apparently so.

Indeed, we vote with our downloads and use, though if I were to switch to Artix Linux, which is based on Arch Linux, I wouldn't download an installation ISO, but rather I'd convert my 3 existing installations into Artix, though since I've never done it, I will make sure that I have all 3 of my Arch installations updated and cloned before I attempt it. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Whether or not you are already experienced with something that involves changing data (such as updating software in this case), backups are indeed important, especially for irreplaceable data. 🧘‍♂️🤓

Exactly, which is why I always clone my Arch installations after any notable changes, and after a certain period of time. I'm just about to swap out the Arch installation from which I'm typing this now, for another (my oldest installation), quite soon. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I wonder how much storage your backups of your (Arch Linux) installations take (for your three OSes) and how many versions for each installation !INDEED. 🤓

Each of the 3 Arch installations is on a 1TB NVMe SSD, and each also has another 1TB SSD to which I clone regularly. So 6TB in total. I only have the most recent versions. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

6 TB of SSD storage seems expensive, but they are useful indeed for the long run. 🧘‍♂️💸🤓

I'm thinking how much 1 TB of data stored on either a centralized or decentralized cloud storage would cost (let's say on a monthly basis). 💸😅
