RE: OUCH - IT HURTS LOOSING WITNESS SUPPORTERS

I feel ya, my friend, our witness lost a bit of ground too, but it's still chugging along. Consistency, and dedication to the community always wins in the end, though. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

If @borniet gets enough free time again for Hive, then we can hope that the Hive Witness nodes he runs climbs up the Witness ranking (entering the Top 20 if possible)! 🤗😎

I hope that for all three of our witneses. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I think that you would have your very own Hive Witness node too, but the only question is when. 😎😅

I would need much better infrastructure for that, though it is something that I'd like to do, but if I run a witness node, then I'd also have to run a Hive-Engine node, and and likely a VSC/Magi node as well. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

@savvytester told me that they think that running a Hive Witness node alone would require at least 500 GB of SSD storage (as it would take a significantly longer time to sync the blockchain using a HDD), though with the nature of Hive as a blockchain, there won't be as many writes needed on the SSD. 🧘‍♂️ Add other second-layer Hive network nodes (such as #HiveEngine and #Magi) and you would need more storage. 🤓

If I were to run multiple different kinds of nodes, Hive versions or other otherwise, I would have each on their own laptop. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

That's !INDEED what @savvytester (and also I) thinks is a good practice when running nodes, such that when one node fails (catastrophically) and eats up the entire system's computing resources, the other nodes would barely be affected (if at all) as they are in separate computers. 😎

It's a good practice, I'd say, since running more than one node on one system is just asking for problems. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
