I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. I arrived in the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem 4 years, 9 months, and 2 days ago, and within that time I've published 1-3 posts every single day for 4 years, 4 months, and 2 days. I'm just going to preface this post by saying that I've loved and believed in Hive and its potential for the vast majority of my time here. Because of that I've given my all, and I've been all in for the long haul here, with unwavering commitment, dedication, and relentless consistency and tenacity, even investing multiple thousands of US dollars into the Ecosystem several times. To see the direction that Hive has gone, and how it's declined and deteriorated in the time that I've been here is, as I've said many times, heartbreaking. I've given so much to it, in time, energy, focus, and resources, so its current state and trajectory hit very hard indeed.

The Hive Debt just broke 26%, only 4% away from all interest for HBD in Savings ending, and HBD losing its peg to the fiat US Dollar. The present APR for Hive Power is 4.81%, so while it's growing faster than ever, the value that it holds continues to fall, so our stake, holdings, vote values are consistently worth less. So many Hive projects and their assets have failed, folded, and disappeared, and that process only seems to be accelerating.

This makes investing in the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem appear to be a losing game, with no viable way to succeed over the long term. That disturbs and hurts me immensely to say the least, but it sure does seem to be the case. For those of you who are still here, and who are paying attention, you've likely noticed that Hive is very quiet as of late, with very few consistently active people left. I'm one of the diehards, so I've just kept going, no matter what, both for myself, and for the We Are Alive Tribe, but doing what I do every day just seems to be getting more difficult, and with fewer meaningful or useful returns. Just ouch.

I truly don't mean to be negative, or to dishearten or discourage my fellow Hivers, especially those who are just starting out here, but the current state of Hive and its economy is almost a complete shit show, to put it mildly. Can this be changed, shifted, and turned around for the better? I hope and pray so, but honestly at this point, I don't know.

To say that some radical and profound changes are necessary is an huge understatement. The Ecosystem continues to be bled dry of value, and although there have been some modifications to attempt to address that, they have been mostly ineffective up to this point. I'm not giving up or leaving, but what I do here on Hive every day seems to be increasingly meaningless, pointless, and useless. That bothers me more than I am able to express in words. Can Hive recover from its slow death spiral? That's a question that remains to be seen, but the current state and trajectory don't at all look good. Even if I withdrew my 650+ HBD from Savings, which I really don't want to do, and swapped it for HIVE to power up, I'd have over 33,000 Hive Power. That sounds great, but what would it actually mean if HIVE's fiat value continues its ongoing and seemingly invariable free fall?

Yesterday, Wednesday, after finishing up with my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks by around 1PM, I prepared for a session that was scheduled for 1:30PM. The session started quite late, as we got into a rather long conversation, but it went very well, and we wrapped it up by just before 6PM. Afterward, I made myself some food in Wabisabi, collected my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and I headed back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by around 10:30PM, and after scanning my X feed for a while, I went to bed quite late, by a bit after 11:30PM. I woke up very late indeed, by about 8:45AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1PM, so it's a good time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. 2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
