I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1351 - One Arch-to-Artix Conversion Completed Successfully, Now Two to Go! - Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, April 9, 2026

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
After a bit more reading, research, assistance and suggestions to try from Grok, and lots of experimenting and testing yesterday evening, I was finally able to figure out and resolve all notable issues in my Arch-to-Artix-conversion process, so I now have a fully-functional Artix Linux installation. I still have two more Arch Linux installations to convert/migrate to Artix, and given that I want to keep the process and important points about it clearly in memory for my next two rounds, I'm planning to dive into converting the other two as soon as possible, hopefully within the next two weeks or so.

Thankfully after uninstalling, deleting all data, and reinstalling Vivaldi, I was able to recover most of my most-used browser tabs from a sync backup, so I was up and running on Hive and Blurt again as soon as I readded all the keys to Hive Keychain and WhaleVault. Many things in Vivaldi can be synced back, which is very helpful indeed.

I have one or two more minor issues to fix, that I'm going to do my best to investigate and resolve at some point either today or tomorrow. Once those two small problems are fixed, I'll clone this new Artix Linux installation, swap in another Arch Linux installation into my laptop, and then jump into the next round of conversion. Once the second one is successfully converted, I'll start almost immediately with the third and last Arch installation to migrate to Artix.

I will say that the boot time on my laptop is now much faster using the dinit init system than it was using systemd. It only takes a handful of seconds now to go from boot or reboot back to the desktop, which is extraordinary indeed. So now I have the double speed boost of my Arch/Artix installations being on NVMe SSDs, and now with the notably faster dinit intit system. That's pretty nifty, I've got to say!

There are all sorts of amazing and diverse Linux distributions, but Arch, and those distributions based on it like Artix, are the most interesting to me, because the Arch Linux framework is so incredible, as it provides those who work with it a highly customizable, configurable, flexible, fast, and efficient operating system, and a huge variety of software, that can be installed and updated as binary packages from the official and assorted unofficial repositories, as well as compiled (software can often be compiled in specific ways, to meet specific needs), installed, and updated from source. Arch, Artix, and other Arch-based Linux distributions are also 100%-community-driven, so their development is much more decentralized compared to Windows, MacOS, or Linux distributions that are created and managed by corporations. It's fascinating to know that every single super computer in the world runs some version or other of Linux. Not Windows, and not MacOS. Windows and MacOS don't even come close to what's possible in Linux.

Yesterday, Thursday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, quite late, mostly due to copious rain, by a little after 3:30PM, giving my attention to some photography for my posts first, and then to a few small jungle-community tasks. The weather was cloudy and quite rainy again, so I turned on the generator, and I headed to Wabisabi fairly early in the evening to heat myself up some food that I had in the fridge, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, I made my way back to the Flow House to do another very-successful round of Arch-to-Artix conversion troubleshooting, and to begin on my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by around 10PM, and after some asset management, I went to bed, a bit on the late side once again, by a bit after 12:30AM. I woke up just before 7AM, having slept reasonably well, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so it's a really good time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's manifestation of theses posts! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Bjorn is our badass coder who hosts and manages our (and also Bradley's) community backends, he creates all sorts of useful tools, and he assists people all over the Blockchain constantly. He redefines the term 'busy'!

Vote for @bradleyarrow's
Witness Node!

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!

Excelente postagem! A Hive é a melhor rede social do mundo! Infelizmente não pude votar 100% porque meu poder de voto está baixo.
Muito obrigado, amigo! Isso sim é certo, e essa é a razão que estou aqui. Não há problema. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
So Artix is a Linux OS and Vivaldi is a browser? And they are more private? I'll have to search for more info on all this but sounds like you're making progress with it!
Happy weekend my friend!

Yep, that's right, Kenny! Yes, in general they are a lot more private thant Windows, MacOS, iOS, regular Google Android, or than Chrome, Edge, Safari, though how people use them determines a great deal about just how private they remain. That's an excellent idea, my friend, Linux is badass, and everyone should learn it!
Thanks a lot, brother, and I hope that you have a glorious Saturday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
