I made a new friend today! A super tiny jumping spider:

Just look at those sexy eyes 😍

Surprisingly, it was very "tame" and friendly. I almost touched it with my phone lens to get these two close ups 😂

Maybe it was just curious dunno, eventually it got jumpy and run away to do whatever spiders do.

Thanks to google lens I quickly found it belongs to the Phlegra genus. Species is possibly Phlegra bresnieri.

it occurs in southern Europe up to Azerbaijan, in Ivory Coast, and in Tanzania. Much like must jumping spiders, adults are small at about 4–5 millimetres (0.16–0.20 in) of length.

Jumping spiders... they look so peaceful and friendly, until they jump onto your face and insert their pincers into your eyeball and their little legs squirm around and fluids are flying and the spider is squealing saying "eeeeeeeek" while you swat at your face, grab a leg and try to pull him off and he just won't let go...

I don't like spiders that jump.

Surprisingly, it was very "tame" and friendly. Maybe confident to jump up when it feel like and it sure did.
Spiders are wonderful creatures, they help keep environment bug free only that they replace them with their web, something that outdates a place.

That video had some finale...he's (she's?) running around with that poor critter in the mouth. Chomping away, nonchalantly, looking for the next meal.

Cute spider, but bad news for some critters out there😅
