Anyways, I thought to piggyback on his series as I happen to own a lot of US penis!
These are my three most "interesting" pieces:
But what's so special about them?
Let's first start with these two babes:
Notice how their color is a bit different! Not the usual copperish but more gray like!
That's because they are 1943 steel cents! Due to the needs of WW II copper had become exceedingly scarce and expensive so that year the US mint replaced the standard bronze alloy recipe with zinc-coated steel.
Btw, here is a fun facts about them. They are the only regular-issue United States coin that can be picked up with a magnet. According to numista, steel pennies start from 20 cent and upwards depending on their condition so I'd say they have aged quite well!

Nothing special about this one. It just happens to be the oldest penny I have in my small collection of US coins, I figured it was worth a mention, lol 😆

In my country, coins and banknotes have rarely been in circulation for more than 20 to 30 years. If you find some older money, you can throw it away. They're usually worthless.

I have uses for bags of pennies, make a handy door stop for one but usually leave them in a locked 'Sentry' strong box on my coffee table.
