50 Ore (1931, Sweden)
What's up plebs?!
Got another coin for you today, this one coming from the land of Sweden. I got this piece a couple weeks ago at spot price from a Facebook seller.
Let's check it out:
As you can see in the pics above, it's a 50 ore coin from 1931.
This actually happens to be my second 50 ore coin, the last one was bought like three years ago and the minting date on that one was 1961.
I can't make a comparison photo as it is stashed somewhere deep in the super secret vault but here's a photo of that one with some smaller denomination from my archive:
And here are two close ups from the 1931 coin:
Both have a simplistic design but imo the 1931 looks much better! The ones from 1960 literally look like arcade coins 😅😆
Another big difference is that the 1931 coin has a purity of 0.600 (5 g total weight) in comparison to 0.400 that the newer ones have.
There's really not much else to say about this little fella. Just another silver coin for the on growing stack!
See you soon with more shiny 🥳

Sir I am just a pleb plebing.
Awesome! I've always like Swedish silver, my dad's side of the family immigrated from Sweden back in the 1800's. It's simplicity is kind of what makes it so cool. Great buy and addition to the ever expanding stack!
Is the firefighter LEGO brand. The legs look kind of funky!

Temu knock offs 😂😂😂😂
Great post...The difference in purity between the 1931 and 1960 coins is really interesting. I love learning about the details that make older coins so unique. Thanks for sharing ☺️
And thanks for passing by

Cool Lego.. ooo I mean coin 😎. The older one actually looks way nicer than the 1960s version. Silver coins from back then really did have such a clean design. You'll be the ultimate collector
I am trying to be but I am still a small fish in the pond 😄😍
hahaha there's some big whale collectors 😂 !LOLZ
Nice find from facebook. Good thing it wasn't a scam 😅

Nice little addition. And you have it safe with the fire brigade.
Lmao
It goes to prove than even Swedes need to be able to make change like most every other country.
I forget how many of these Ores I got sitting in one of my treasure chests, or which chest.

Nice addition to your collection. I did some research and discovered this site: https://en.ucoin.net/
I was surprised to see that there are users from Cuba here. I have some coins. What I don't know is how they trade them.
Nice coin. I like the one from 1931 more than the one from 1960 as well.

Omfg I grew up with this. But I am so "young" that the only thing you could buy with it was a bubble gum called hubba bubba 😅

Mr Trumpman the collector. It seems you will own a museum in the near future. Without doubts the prices of this metals will keep going up. All to your advantage
Honestly I don't care, at least near future wise. I just enjoy collecting and stacking for the future generations :)
the 50 ore coin looks great for me
!pimp
The coin still looks pretty new and deatiled
The 1931 coin is better than the one from more recent years, so people from that time worked better on coins and I suppose that in 1960 there were already more tools to work and improve the designs, something to analyze.
