Some people drink alcohol their whole lives and are not addicted to it. Others become addicted within a few months.
The same applies to human behavior. Some people can gamble for fun. Others, however, can become addicted to gambling.
I'm not afraid of alcohol. I've tried it. But I'm afraid of gambling. I'd rather not start with that.
