Why do people invest in crypto?
I've been wondering this for quite some time. Why do people invest in crypto? I've been in this market for quite some time, and it's because I'm interested in technology and decentralization. I haven't gotten rich because I'm quite young and haven't had money, not to invest, but for anything. Paying for college was enough. That doesn't mean I don't have my own small or large portfolio, depending on how you look at it. But what about most people?

Today I was reading an article that talked about fear as the source of investment in both cryptocurrencies and precious metals. "The world is crazy" is the phrase I hear most around me if I pay attention, and maybe that's what causes the fear. Or maybe it's the wars or the endless verbal confrontations.
In my humble opinion, the problem is more serious, since I see all of the latter as a bit of theater. The truth is that people are becoming smarter and more practical when it comes to money. The reality is that tax pressures are increasingly higher and are close to the limit. Despite this, states are increasingly indebted, and people are beginning to live worse than before.
Every system eventually self-destructs, and not in a controlled manner; it is chaos that ultimately resets the system.
I think people invest in things they believe will escape that chaos.
