Really a Castania sative? Most of the chestnut trees are usually the Aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut).
Yes, yes, chestnuts to eat. When I was a child in my grandparents' village they gave them to the pigs. Well, actually they let the pigs run and eat among the chestnut trees just like among the oaks.
