Shadowbanned on LinkedIn, Invisible on Upwork | My Freelance Pivot Strategy

The platform LinkedIn has restricted my ability to make comments for some days now. I just noticed it. But funny enough, today I tried to comment and the comment went well.

So I'm taking it easy on how I comment on LinkedIn these days because I don't want my account to be blocked. I have been managing the account and working to build up the account, organize content and do a lot of optimization there every now and then. Almost every day I put a content there or have some content schedule on it.

And now I cannot risk it being banned or shadow banned or restricted. So I just have to pause so many things I'm doing then look for other things to do. Another thing that I did was I added one more catalog, project catalog on my Upwork accounts, which was actually doing well.

So I told a friend of mine that, oh, look at my account, come and have a look. I'm trying to upload catalog almost every now and then, but there is no view on my account. So the friend told me that those are not what brings view on the account that even though I'm optimizing every now and then, that is still a part or one of the factors that bring views on the Upwork account because it goes far more than adding catalog, project catalog, optimizing project catalogs and the like.

It goes beyond that. It goes into writing proposal, boosting profile and all these things cost money, which I don't have presently. So I've decided to look into another direction, which I am thinking about thoroughly throughout this week.

I will look into other options that I have and what next I have to do. And I'm still expectant to that all the optimization I did throughout this week is going to yield results at least give me one or two views to show that I didn't work in vain and I did not do all this optimisation every day in vain. So that it's not just look like a wasted effort, because if it's later turns to a wasted effort, it is a learning process though.

Yes, I agreed, but it's going to make me feel bad. Like it's a whole week is wasted because that was, I use a large portion of this week to do optimization, adding catalog and making sure that the accounts stand up again. Then I try to increase more of my keyword in my account.

And I hope that is going to be positive because I'm so expectant on that go high level. So if my go high level on Upwork is still doing that, I will look into another platform in this coming week. I don't really want to jump around.

That's one thing I'm guiding against. I just want to be on Upwork and LinkedIn at the same time. So those are the two things that I want to work on.

But let's see how this next week comes up. I'm sure it's going to be positive and I'm going to be at the end of the day.
