HPUD - Did You Power Up Any Hive Today?

Power up habit

About a month ago I realised that I would probably not need to take out any funds for a while and can start saving from my earnings again. I've missed out on many opportunities to buy in on mostly precious metals raffles as much as I wanted as well as buy some precious metals offered by community members so my main focus on saving HBD is currently to be able to take out HBD to fund these raffles and purchases. The fun thing about most of these raffles are that the funds often stay within the Hive ecosystem anyway because often the tickets are bought with HSBI shares.

At the same time of starting to save my HBD earnings, every so many days, I swap some HBD to Hive so that I can power up 1 Hive daily. The first days I only powered up what I had and then I had a few 10 HP power ups, but most of the other days in the past month were steadily: 1 HP powered up. Just one day where I was a tiny bit short and didn't have any HBD to swap for Hive.

I'm hoping to continue this path and maybe at some point be able to power up 2 HP a day or some days to start with while at the same time being able to have at least a few hundred HBD locked up in savings constantly in case a good opportunity arises on Hive.

HPUD power up

Today it's the first of the month, so I made sure to have more than just 1 HP to power up and went for 10 HP. This way I still have some HP left for the next days ahead because I didn't have many posts up in the past week so I'm low on reward days for the next week, lol.

Not long after I powered up 10 Hive, I got the Hivebuzz notification about a badge. The badge is not that important to me, it's nice I mean but the habit of powering up steadily is more what this is about for me.

Monthly progress

I should add the monthly progress of Hive power here as well to keep track, so here's a screenshot of September 1st:

That's a growth of 394.592 Hive Power in the past month. Which honestly isn't bad considering me not publishing every day and not seeing very high rewards at the moment. I hope next month, it will be even better.

HP leases

I was leasing 3000 HP for a while but decided to use part of these Hive tokens to power up instead. I liked the extra curation rewards but I thought I might as well try to vote a bit smarter and bring the leases down to 2000 total for now to see how that goes. Funnily enough, I'm not missing that much curation and my VP is a little higher by default now. For now this works for me while I also save a little in costs to pay for leases.
