Some Flippant Fun for Three Tune Tuesday!

With Hive prices running below twenty cents I decided what we all need is a little something fun to cheer us all up. I'm hopeful we'll see brighter days ahead, but why worry about something you really do anything about? So today will be all about fun and lacking completely in serious nature, and plus, how often do I get to use the word flippant in a title post. Not often enough!

As it is Tuesday once again I'll be throwing together another Three Tune Tuesday. First off I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Today's selections were picked almost completely at random as I thought back over the years of funny videos. As usual, really no method to the madness, and I hope you enjoy some if not all of these. Here we go kicking off with David Lee Roth the former front man of the legendary band Van Halen.

David Lee Roth

After David Lee Roth parted ways with Van Halen he sadly really didn't do a whole lot with his career. He released the successful album Eat 'Em and Smile and an EP Crazy from the Heat . Both did well, with the latter mostly being covers of older music in including the Beach Boys "California Girls" and a medley of songs from pre World War II by Louis Prima . It's called "Just A Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody" and the video is filled with Roth's typical showmanship and humor. It's a great video!

Barenaked Ladies

This Canadian band formed in Scarborough, Ontario in 1988. In 1992 their debut album Gordon was a huge success in Canada but failed to find it's way to the US market. That all changed in 1996 with a live album that got them noticed in the US, and their album Stunt from 1998 made them world wide stars. This song came off of that album and is called "One Week".

Beastie Boys

This fun band came together as a band in 1981 in New York City. I can still remember when License to Ill was released in 1986, it was a huge album with the hit "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" on MTV almost every hour. In the 1990's they produced one of their finest songs with a hilarious video "Sabotage":

It's always fun to see performers and bands take themselves less than seriously. I hope you enjoyed those picks and they made your day a little brighter. Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below. And as always thank you for all of your support, it's deeply appreciated. Have a great day everyone!

Yes, it's nice to see performers and bands that don't take themselves too seriously, but also those who take themselves too seriously :)
I know Barenaked Ladies, and Sabotage was an anthem. 🎶

Sad to see David Lee Roth part with Van Halen, but that’s the way it usually goes with bands!🙄
Very few stick together very long!
Have a great Tuesday, my friend, enjoy that California sunshine!😎

It was a shame, but no one could get along well in those bands with all of the drug use! Hope you had a great day!

Hey! Because of your participation in the @CryptoCompany community and your participation in the "Banner for Boost" campaign you received a vote from your CryptoCompany and its trail! Thank you & Hive a great day!

P.S.: Sorry for the low vote... Mana is pretty low and needs to recharge...

Please don't vote on this comment as a thank you, because this comment is not really POB. If you like to thank me for my service & support development of more services, please think about a small HP delegation to @PowerPaul or visit my blog & leave a vote on a posting there. Thank you very much!

I always felt like Sammy was far superior to roth, but I have started to appreciate him more in the last few years. I still prefer hagar, but DLR is very talented.

I like them both, but Roth has a huge personality (and ego). He is a talented showman and did produce some great music in his day. Sadly after the Van Halen he really only did a couple solo projects that did well and he faded away. Probably his own fault, but come the 90's Nirvana put a nail in the coffin of any hopes of a career he had left!

Oh that was a blast from the past. Some fun music there and we do play the Beastie Boys from time to time. Some bands to revisit tomorrow I think :)
