My Week in Review for July 26, 2025, Rhodium Up $500 This Week!

This sure has been a fast week, it's already Saturday again! I already made a quick trip around some of the nearby garage sales this morning. The early bird gets the worm as they say. Today there were no good worms to be found unfortunately. But you never know until you try! I have found great buys at these in the past, so it's worth the effort.

As far as the markets went this week, the big mover was rhodium. I've recently added this precious metal to my weekly discussion here on Saturday. It shot up more than $500 per Troy ounce. I'll talk more about it in the precious metals near the bottom of the post today. Talk about easy money!

I have been keeping a close eye on Ethereum. It's up over 52% in the last month, although it's flattened out recently. I believe that as it gains more traction and surges upward it will likely drag the other alts along with it. Hopefully Hive will be one of them as well! I'm hoping for a some more gains in ETH in the coming weeks, but as we all know in crypt, anything is possible, even a downturn. Let's not go there...

Bitcoin likewise has stalled out, but maintains strong support at $115,000. I think that is very bullish as it may be consolidating for another push toward a new all time high. Remember less than a year ago when it was sitting at $54,000? How times have changed... There is still a lot of money to be made in BTC, and $150,000 is very likely before the end of the year! Keep piling up those sats!

Hive's monthly chart looked a lot like ETH until very recently. Four days ago we saw a large correction down to below $0.24, but there seems to be support at $0.23. Many of the alts have seen gains in excess of greater than 50%, Hive is lagging behind unfortunately. Hopefully it will gain traction when there is another BTC or ETH price surge.

Next up is my Saturday Savers portion of the post, this is where I analyze my weekly progress toward my goals in Hive Power and second layer tokens. This past week I have gotten involved in the Arcade Colony game Stake House Den. I'll keep you all posted on my progress as I get further along.

Hive Power

This year's primary goal is to reach 10,000 staked HP. I have just about finished this one up, and it feels great!

Current HP: 9,768 (97.7% complete)
Goal HP: 10,000

I increased my HP by 146 this week, so not too bad of a week! I have 232 more HP to go to hit my goal for this year, so time for the math. If I earn at least 140 HP per week I should be there in a week and a half. However, Hive Power Up Day is on the horizon so I may just finish it all up this coming week! It will feel great to finally be in the 10,000 HP club!

Then what? I'm not sure yet. I'll face that question once I pass the finish line. Plus this goal will be moving into completed goals for the year!

PIMP

My secondary goal of the year. It's a great token that is backed by both BTC and physical silver. I'm slowly heading for 100K!

Instead of staking my new PIMP earnings I'm keeping them liquid to place in liquidity pools to increase my earnings!

LEO

I finished this goal up some time back, and I'm glad I did before the prices surged on LEO. I have shifted my strategy with this token by delegating to @leo.voter to earn more LEO tokens. Their tokenomic 2.0 appears to be working as prices continue to climb!

I have noticed a sharp decrease in LEO earned from posting, and stake based curations appear to have gone away as well. InLeo premium seems to be the only way to get curations now.

PIZZA

This was nice to finish up. I get 15 tips a day to use as a bonus and occasionally a curation as well!

DUO

DUO: 2,066 (103.3% complete)

I expect to pick up much more DUO in the coming six months, I picked up quite a few this past week. The next section will get you more info on DUO, it a great token to invest in!

DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. The more DUO you stake, the higher your daily dividends.

PAKX

I am continuing to delegate to @pakx to earn more PAKX tokens, and continue to seek out good deals on Hive Engine to increase my stake. I think this is a great project, and for every PAKX that comes into existence it is backed by two HP. In the future that number will actually increase making it a very stable token. It offers daily liquid Hive dividends, curations on your quality content, and the ability to tip someone with the PAKX call once daily once you hold at least 10 tokens. That figure may increase in the near future so make sure to check their Discord.

It directly helps support the Hive Pakistan community to recruit and retain new talented authors here on Hive which is a very positive goal in my mind!

I'm continuing to delegate 2500 HP the @eds-vote . Not only does it earn me EDS tokens but offers curations on quality posting. I'm glad I made the move as it has been beneficial to my account!

I'm making slow and steady progress towards 200, I may have to buy a few before the end of the year to achieve this goal. Plus, EDSI pays out liquid Hive dividends weekly which is always welcome.

CCD

I have over 500K CCD staked and am slowly increasing that number. For holding the 500K I can claim two free HSBI every week which is a nice perk. Those with one million staked can claim a free HSBI daily, also those who hold 100K can claim a free HSBI every month. I picked up another 10K this week to slowly work on reaching my goal!

Precious Metals

The market for precious metals continues to be bullish. As I mentioned earlier, rhodium shot up $500 per Troy ounce this week. It may be getting ready for some bigger price moves. More about that below. World uncertainty and metal shortages will continue to push these prices up. They are a great place to invest as they will always be worth something!

Platinum

Platinum is a precious metal that has been somewhat ignored over the last few years. I posted the chart below of the price over the last year, hard to argue with those results! It has been surging this year due to supply shortages that don't look like they can be resolved any time soon. This is a critical component in catalytic converters in petroleum powered vehicles to reduce pollution as well as it's use in jewelry. I suspect the price will continue to climb as the shortages drag on!

Silver

Silver is still looking strong, just look at the chart over the last year. $50 per Troy ounce is not only likely by the end of the end of the year, it may be inevitable. It's a great place to invest and is the least expensive of the precious metals!

Although it's had a couple of rough weeks, it's still holding it's value very well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a push past $3,500 per Troy ounce in the next few weeks and $4,000 by the end of the year. Instability worldwide is increasing, the Israel/Iran conflict looks near restarting. Russia appears to be rearming at a high rate increasing speculation of an attack on more western countries and even World War 3. That will continue to send gold higher and higher. I hope none of those things come to pass, the world is getting a little spooky lately.

Rhodium

This is one to keep an eye on, in the last week it has climbed over $500 per Troy ounce. Not a bad one week return! There is very little rhodium produced in platinum mines, mainly in Russia and South Africa. It's one of the rarest precious metals. It is also a key component in catalytic converters. Just a few years ago it was almost $30,000 per Troy ounce. Over the last year it has been making slow but steady gains and may be getting poised for another run up to the stars. Keep an eye on this metal, you can make a fortune when it goes on a run up towards $30K. The rhodium rocket is looking like it may be getting ready for another push to $30K!
