Diving Even Deeper (Much Deeper) Into Stake House Den

A few days ago I started a journey into the new game Stake House Den, that is part of Arcade Colony. In my first post I simply got my toes a little wet and only bought a couple of LADYLUCK card packs. These packs give you NFT cards that you can stake. Over the last few days I went a little more crazy and dove head first into the deep end buying up a total of 18 LADYLUCK card packs. Was it worth it? Definitely yes! You will see why later on in the post!

This post is instructional on what I have learned so far, and at the end some game play! It is really a fun game and very addictive. I think @tengolotodo is as addicted as I am already! I got interested in the game from seeing the posts from @libertycrypto27 and @giuatt07 , thank you guys for introducing me to the fun!

So far there are three games available to play: Black Jack, Roulette, and Slots. I understand that poker is coming in the near future.

Some of this is review I covered some in my last post, but now I have a much better understanding of what I am doing. You can buy LADYLUCK packs with credits or SCRIPT. I only had SCRIPT so that's what I used. On the screen below click off of credit and onto the SCRIPT button. Then purchase as many as your heart desires, or as many as your wallet lets you! My funds were somewhat limited. These are most easiest accessed from the main arcadecolony.com website.

To maximize your luck opening those packs you can purchase legendary or gold FLUX tokens. It takes five for each pack, so in this case I had purchased two packs so I bought ten gold and ten legendary FLUX. You can purchase these with SCRIPT as well, the gold costs a little more than the legendary. I found it was worth the extra expense as you will see below.

From here go into menu and press the My Packs option in the Stake House Den main game.

That brings you to open packs, you choose how many to open and whether or not to use FLUX, in this case I did. You can see the ten under each one which is needed for two packs.

And in this case it helped out nicely, I pulled a gold 10 of diamonds and a legendary red joker card. Current asking price on a red joker is $35. Not too bad! But remember, asking prices are simply prices someone wants to receive. It doesn't mean that's what someone is willing to pay that amount for the card. I learned that from years of working in business!

Hot Sauce Maximization

I learned very quickly that in order to play multiple games you need to earn as much Hot Sauce as possible! It's like fuel, mana or energy in other games that limits how much you able to play. The more you have the better. So to get into the hot sauce arena simply press the fridge button with the hot sauce on it!

That brings up this screen. On the left is the table that is very important to maximize your hot sauce production.

You can see here that I have increased my hot sauce cap which cost me 6 SCRIPT, so I can now store up to 4000 Hot Sauce. You start with 50 as a cap, but I did two upgrades to get where I am now. To do so simply hover over the icon up top and it drops down an upgrade button, you can see where I circled it.

Below that you can see how much Hot Sauce you have available to claim, you want to claim this at least once a day. Under the claim you can see SCRIPT staking requirements to produce the Hot Sauce. In my case I have only 28 staked, I would need more, but pulled a couple cards that helped me out. I'll explain below.

If you go into My Cards under the menu, I've shown a few times, you can click on each individual card and it shows you how much Hot Sauce they can produce. In the case of this epic card ace of hearts, it's two as seen on the far right. You need to stake two SCRIPT for this to produce this however.

This is where I got very lucky, I pulled two gold legendary black jokers which I merged to a level 3. This one card produces 150 Hot Sauce daily with only staking 2 SCRIPT tokens. Now for the value on this card, there are none for sale, however a gold foil red joker as a single copy goes for $349. Going by that the asking price on this card should be around $700. Remember, asking price doesn't always mean you'll get it, someone has to be willing to pay that much!

Just a quick review on how to stake cards under the fridge section. Push stake, select the card and applied appears, then hit the blue stake button and it's done. Easy peasy! You will want to stake a lot of SCRIPT so you can stake cards and earn lots of Hot Sauce.

Below are some important tables that show what cards can produce in Hot Sauce daily. Depending on foil and the numbers merged. I'll talk about that next. To have the tables handy here is the link.

You will want to stake the cards that produce the most Hot Sauce. That will mean you need to merge cards when you have enough in order to produce more hot sauce per staked SCRIPT. Legendary gold foils will always produce the most as a general rule, but are much harder to come by. The FLUX tokens can improve that luck!

Merging Cards

Now for merging cards, it's much like combining cards in Splinterlands if you've played before. You'll want to keep this table handy as a reference when merging cards, here's the link.

To get started on merging you need only to open the menu and yet again go to my cards. Select the card you wish to merge and you will see all the copies you have available. In this case the jack of diamonds is a rare card and requires five to merge to the next level. I'll still go ahead and merge a couple just to demonstrate. When I leveled up the gold foil black jokers I was still experimenting and forgot to screen shot the process!

First click on one of the cards and you'll see the card info as I discussed before. Here you want to hit the giant green MERGE button.

That brings up this screen with one card to merge and the cards available to merge. In this case to move it to level 2, however, I would need one more card. I'll just combine one so you can see the process.

Click on the cards you want to combine and APPIED appears over the card, and it the green MERGE button again.

Now you confirm it, they are giving you a lot of room to not make a mistake so don't be shy to experiment. But once you finish this process it can't be undone. Press the Confirm button...

And you have successfully merged the cards, you can see how many cards are combined where I have circled the 2 on the bottom right. The upper left tells you the level of the card after the merging.

Game Play

Now the fun part!

Black Jack

Here you see Hot Sauce is your currency and it is used to make bets. I started this round with 417, which isn't too bad. It gives me plenty to play with at least.

First hand I bet fifty, and my cards came up as 20. The dealer up card is 6, so here it's best to stay. There are some that would argue that it's better to split the cards as the dealer has the 6 up card. But I went with the conservative approach.

Lo and behold I won!

Then when you exit the game it gives you a breakdown of your winnings.

Roulette

This is of course a huge game of chance, I bet on red to maximize my odds.

And here I came up a winner! It was the only round I played here.

Slots

In casinos this is usually my least favorite because the machines are programmed to win. But I bet 10 Hot Sauce and spun the reels!

I won with three cherries! Pretty cool! The slots in this game appear to be a little looser than the ones in Las Vegas. This was the only time I spun the reels then went back to Black Jack.

When all was said and done, I checked the leaderboard and I was number 6!

My winnings could be much greater, but I only have 10,000 COLONY staked. So next step, I believe, is to up my stake in COLONY to increase my winning per game. It isn't very expensive and on BeeSwap you can get some good deals, but always shop around. With 500K staked COLONY I'm sure my winnings would be much better. But that will take some time to accumulate that much. Buying small batches is always the way to go. My friend @libertycrypto27 is above me on the leaderboard at number 4, way to go buddy! He is a true game guru here on Hive, so he'll always be way above me on the leaderboards! LOL

I understand I just threw a lot of information your direction, that's why I took lots of screenshots. I often find I get confused when I can't see what's going on, so I figured better to overdue than leave someone confused.

So, take away information from my experience over the last few days. Produce as much hot sauce as possible, it makes it possible to play more hands and games. Buy packs to have cards to merge, and I recommend using FLUX to maximize chances of legendary and gold cards. Don't forget to stake COLONY and SCRIPT as well, I need a lot more! And most importantly, have fun! I'm playing this game not for profit, but for fun. If I happen to make some money in the process, I won't complain!
