HELPING FAMILIES IN . NEED

Two families @cathyarrow and I have now helped financilly in Cuba.

Another wonderful person Cathy met in Cuba was in need so we desided to help her and her family out finanically today.

In talking to her I found out she earns aprox 4,000 Cuban Pesos a month. To keep a nice round number Cathy wanted to send $100 USD, that cost us aprox $140 Canadian dollars. Cathy sent me some Bitcoin, I bought Hive. And thanks to @crptogeek and his wonderful Telegram bot I was able to send 51,000 Cuban Pesos dirrectly to her CUB card.

Do the math, we sent the equivelent of over 1 year wages to help support this family. And you would not believe how thankful they are :)

My next goal for her is to onboard her to Hive so she can start earning and help herself and her family even more.

Back to our first family: @valderalazaro, I am working on getting him blogging.

It was his sons first birthday today. And one thing Cathy really wanted was for the baby to have a cake. This is a simple thing in Canada but in Cuba one birthday cake cost aprox $10 USD. That is one month wages. Nothing the family could afford. But in sending money to him Cathy wanted the baby to have a cake. Here are some pics of the birthday boy :)

Qué hermoso trabajo el que están haciendo, @bradleyarrow y @cathyarrow. No solo ayudan con lo material, sino que devuelven dignidad y esperanza a familias que enfrentan realidades tan duras. Ese pastel de cumpleaños para el bebé me llegó al corazón: a veces son los gestos pequeños los que más significan.
Gracias por compartir esto y por permitirnos ser parte, aunque sea con una lectura o un voto. #hive crece cuando hay almas como ustedes. 🙌🇨🇺❤️
