The Reality Of Climate Change And Seasons

Weather plays a very important role in the life of humans because weather determines some factors that benefits man during change in seasons. And climate change can also hinder the lives of many through unexpected challenges that happens during the occurrence of changes in the weather.

There are so many weather changes that has caused man disasters and many of us has in one way or the other experienced bad climate change which affected us badly. The worst of this climate change is heavy rain ☔️ fail that brings flooding which most times leaves many homeless.

In Lagos city 🌆, Nigeria 🇳🇬 where I have lived for many years, flooding use to be a very big issue due to how most drainages where not properly situated. Lagos as a big city 🌆 with over population and lack of good building plans in some areas has caused many to suffer flooding during rainy season as most houses that are built without deep gutters face water inlet into the houses immediately the drainages are stocked with waste that litters around.

The most fearful 😨 of this climate change is how sometimes before the rains comes, s heavy wind will come first, carrying dust and sand which signifies how heavy the rain ☔️ will be. And this is not a question of who is tracking and who is driving because once the weather changes, it brings lots of confusion as you will see people scattered everywhere, many on their heels, others speeding without caution ⛔️.

I have been caught up in rain ☔️ many times and has once swim 🏊‍♀️ through flooding because there were no options immediately the vehicles were also flooded and lined up on the road. The end result of this experience was heavy flu 🤧 the next morning. Infarct I was already shaking before I got home, quickly boiled some hot water for a hot bath but still had flu because of how heavy the rain ☔️ was and the swim in the flood haha 😆.

Right now we are still in the rainy season but the weather change has been better this years. The month of June this year ended without what we have ever known as “Seven Days Rain 🌧”. Many years back here in Lagos, the seven days rain must fail for seven days none stop which is the waste time of the rainy season. This sign shows how climate change appears a bit different this year because of the heatwave around the world 🌍 generally. United Kingdom 🇬🇧 is experiencing the worst kind heatwave this season , likewise other countries.

We should see climate change as something so serious because many has bad experiences that they will never forget in a hurry. Some states in my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 are having it worst as this climate change keeps destroying buildings and roads through erosion. Many who live in areas with flood see the rainy season as a nightmare because of how water enters their house and those with vehicles 🚗 ends up with damaged parts in their vehicles.

Climate change is a serious issue the government should look into it from time to time to know how to resolve some of the hindrances that it brings on the masses. Although most drainages has been properly channeled for a better water-way, but some areas has not been properly maintained when it comes good roads. Climate keep changing as the weather are not as its use to be. Its either the days are hotter than before or the wind 💨 keeps destroying houses, nature and land.
