Warm greetings to my community and friends of #indiaunited 😍💕.

My being here is just like yesterday but it has been three (3) good years I came on here through my loving daughter @chelkoby . Although she is a gamer here on hive but when she invited to join hive because of flare for writing ✍️, I did not see it as something interesting because I was full of questions and doubts.

First was, a place to write ✍️ and earn? Secondly was , will I be able to give my best to be able to earn? Thirdly, how about timing since I have other things I do? And then, two many other questions . These were my discouragements.

But my instincts kept pushing me to come on here on Hive and give myself the benefit of doubt which indeed occurred because after I came on here, I saw how slowly I was moving with my post not being upvoted, no commenting on and no reblog. But as a newbie then I told myself two things. “ Patience is a virtue” And “Nothing good comes easy”.

I told myself not to be in a hurry and that I needed to explore Hive and its communities to find my place here. I needed to know where I belong to do the things I love most because apart from writing ✍️ I also love fashion and cooking 🥘. So what I did was to explore communities, engage on people’s post mostly by commenting and reblog. This indeed brought me so much awareness because I immediately started having more interests to stay here.

And truly, with time I saw myself in other communities, putting efforts and making sure to contributing to engagements which is one thing Hive loves ❤️. And I also gradually was able to choose communities where I know I can be able to bring something rewarding and teaching because we need to give to be able to expect. This in other words means giving original contents. Although sometimes I might not be rewarded as expected from my contents but I made sure not to put so much hope on earnings or being upvoted at all times. I keep motivating myself to do more by engaging especially as time went by with my level going up gradually.

I can tell you today that I have achieved so much here on Hive . Apart from my content being upvoted, Hive has helped me solved my problems I never expected , because with my earnings here and others off-line , I have been able to move up faster. So I could say my patience worked and every effort brought reward.

To The Newbies:

The first thing I will want to make clear to all new hive users is that Hive is not a place for rushing. By this I mean that Hive is place we can see as “slow and steady wins the race”. So if you are a fast pace guy or person, you can not be able to have that patience you need to grow here on Hive.

Secondly, as a newbie, you do not have to expect two much to start happening immediately you came on here. You need to first try to explore hive, try to start engaging with people and making friends for yourself because engaging with others is one key 🔑 to being noticed.

Thirdly, do not be in a hurry to start earning, because earnings will gradually comes to you once you are putting enough effort and giving original content here. Original in the sense of not copying from others because this is one bad move hive hates. No use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) is another. So as a newbie you must read and know the rules Hive operates with.

Lastly but not the least, you need all the motivation you can get. This is what you owe yourself because only you can motivate yourself in some certain situations in life. As a newbie, things might seem not as expected but telling yourself that you are here to stay is one big step of encouragement you owe yourself. But I tell you, there is no place like Hive. You will be very surprised how things will turn out in a short while. Seeing is believing
