I know am not the only one who love to try out new recipes, because it enables us to get to know our learning capacity and how far we can achieve new success on recipes.

I love to make something special during the weekends due to having enough time and not in a rush. So yesterday I made this special donuts 🍩 with my focus on using mayonnaise instead of margarine or butter 🧈. I was really curious on the taste I will have at the end result, since this is my first time baking with mayonnaise

Soft, tender donuts 🍩 made with mayonnaise in the dough and topped with a rich mayonnaise, milk and sugar glaze for extra moistness and flavor is the out come and final finishing taste of this donut recipe.

Mayonnaise in doughnuts!….., an amazing trick that worked so well. It seems a little bit weird adding mayonnaise in a doughnut recipe, but in fact this trick is widely used by professional chefs (research shows) in order to have soft and fresh doughs in general.

This amazing trial will help prevent us from ordering take away doughnuts 🍩 from bakeries πŸ₯― any more as you will love ❀️ this experience after trying this recipe. A supposed amazing experience that never fails.

Below I share this wonderful creamy mayonnaise donuts with glaze recipe in step by step.

INGREDIENTS:

250 g of all purpose flour
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (equivalent)
1 packet creamer powder milk
1/4 cup of baking sugar
1/2 glass of warm water
1 tablespoon of yeast
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1:4 teaspoon salt
5 ml cap of vegetable oil

STEPS FOR PREPARATION:

In a bowl we add our all purpose flour as above.

Then we add our yeast, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. (I have long stopped soaking the yeast since the warm water works fine once mixed)

Step 2.

We stir to incorporate the dry ingredients, adding our sugar and creamer milk

We stir to incorporate the milk, then gradually add our warm water to mix into a dough.

We add our mayonnaise desired quantity above

Add our vegetable oil, stir and knead with the tips of our fingers

And we have our fine dough.

Step 5.

We take the dough and cut into two , then we roll it out into a thickness more than 0.5 cm above.

Then we use the rim of a thick plastic cup to cut the dough in round doughnut outer circle ⭕️ shape and a smaller cap 🧒 for the inner small hole πŸ•³

Gradually, we have the dough into donuts shapes 🍩 . Placed in a glazed baking pan.

We take it into the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 180 Celsius

Step 7.

Once its baked, we mix the mayo cream with some sugar and powdered milk above

And we gradually glaze each donut 🍩 above.

Step 8.

Quickly, we take the glazed donuts into the warm oven to heat up a bit, allowing the glaze to properly absorb.

You can choosing to glaze your donut with melted black, brown or white chocolate 🍫. Or even dip them into a thick liquid milk πŸ₯›. Its all your choice.

And as well, we can garnish our baked donuts 🍩 with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon powder. This makes donuts a versatile snacks we crave for at all time.
