Competition Should Be Motivating, Not Unhealthy And Toxic.
Happy start to the new week community and friends 🥰💕.
Competing with others if we are the kind of people that wants to improve in life or strives to achieve new things and goals, should be seen as a thing we do to better ourselves with time, because competition helps us to learn and grow , motivating us to want to achieve than others.
When we find ourselves in a place with others working towards achieving the same goal which a price or prize is involved, this tends to increase the drive we have in us by putting more effort and hoping to achieve the goal by winning. This kinds of competition we can believe are healthy because everyone is aiming to win naturally.
And I believe that competing with others in several areas of competition that has a price tag is not that those involved in that competition wants to out shine others, but its a way to try and see what our strengths are, what new things can we learn from those we are competing with and most of all, how can we do better next time if we fail which is another important opportunity to correct our mistakes and gear towards improvement. This is how a healthy competition should be seen and appreciated
During my high school days and sports 🏀 competitions, I was able to learn how to play hand ball 🏈 and volley ball after several school competition. Although our team has some professionals who already plays well, but some amateur like us will always cause our team to loose to others who were better than us. We never for a day fought among ourselves even though most of us that can’t play well made our team loose. And as time went buy, we got perfected and started facing outside schools 🏫 for serious competition and we were winning 🏅. I saw this process as an opportunity and encouragement from our team members who were so good to us amateur, until we started celebrating winnings together. This is a healthy combination.
Here on hive, we have so many competitions in form of contest where everyone involved keep trying their best to at least win something. And the best part of these contest is that everyone definitely will win be it in the current round or another round of contest to come. The motivating factor being the encouragements we all gets from intersections and comments. And most times we learn one or two things from those who have won in a contest which keeps serving as motivation.
Unhealthy competition are those kinds of competitions where those involved work towards wanting to outshine others. Their aims and objectives are not for learning from others or trying to improve gradually, but they are focused on how to always win 🥇, snd if they don’t, they become furious and resentful. Hating their opponents or those in a competition with them is one visible attitude they exhibit which is a sign to an unhealthy and toxic competition. Many who take this route will most times ends up not achieving a purposeful end because they might loose focus to what their objectives to life is.
And just like in our daily lifestyle and dreams, when we are not focused in life, we began to look 👀 at others, trying to emulate their lifestyle which leads to competition. And in issues of this nature, many people are caught up with jealousy and hatred because of how we lack self sufficiency with what we have or have achieved. This kind of competition is unhealthy, full of toxic and can lead to harm.
We should see competition as a way to encourage others and not a way to hate or envy others because life is all about learning new things and growing at the same time. For those who are amateur, some days will come with perfection as every step we take in life leads us to another level which growth, and growth does not happen over night. Growth is a step by step learning process.

Thank you for the support @riyat . Lots of blessings 😇
Growth is indeed a process and sometimes people help us to above growth easily . One thing I know is that if we want to grow by competing unhealthily with others, it's only failure we can see, but wen we compete to encourage and lift one another, growth becomes feasible
You just said it all sis . Failure 😣 definitely is what awaits us if we compete in a manner that is unhealthy. We should always have it in mind that we can never do anything alone in life.
Thanks for visiting 🥰💕
