A Memorable Leader
Happy month of march learners 🥰💕.
Talking about something memorable is usually should be associated with good things and events that can never be forgotten in a hurry. And when it comes to remembering people, it has to also do with the good they left behind when in office as a leader/ruler of a country or in other walks of life. So memories indeed has to do with bringing back good feelings .
So talking of a memorable president of my time , I don’t think many of them who has ruled as leaders since I became an adult have been memorable from what I can remember. We have had several presidents but it’s indeed very hard to pick out many among them all whose tenure has been so memorable with good leadership or with something to look back on.
That Memorable Leader:
Although I can say that we have had some presidents or leaders that were better than others coming from the experience one has encountered through these years, and this might be attributed to how many who ruled then had conscience and lacks greed which was why they had focus to do the things that made them a bit different from others.
During the days of Alhaji Shahu Shagari as a one time Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬 President, many pupils and students enjoyed “free education” in Nigeria. And unlike the likes we are seeing these days, his tenure offered free education with quality education where teachers were paid properly, books 📚 are provided for students and schools were properly built. Then parents don’t have to bother for school fees for there wards and teachers were doing their best to bring out the best pupils and students every year, knowing the nation depends on the up coming generation.
He made agriculture and food another priority of his time that everyone one can at least afford food which is the most important amongst the basic necessities of man. Another thing was security that we had then as a nation. No body knows anything like insecurities.
During the one time tenure of President Muhhamadu Buhari and Vice President Tunde Idiagbon , Logos State as a big city 🌆 was one of the most cleanest city in Nigeria 🇳🇬. During their tenure no man or women can urinate in a gutter or on the streets. Fine of =N= 50,000 was labeled every where around the city for any one caught urinating around the street. There were no tout on the street and bribery a big offense that all government officials made sure to do their jobs with dignity.
But as time progresses, things began to depreciate and deteriorate in the leadership and governance mode in Nigeria 🇳🇬 as a country, a nation known as the giant of Africa. It could be because those who left before the recent leaders had more conscience and love ❤️ their country more. Or maybe, they had better dreams for their country while in office then, hoping that others who will come after them will even do better. But it is quite the opposite.
We could however attribute this to change in human behavior and reasoning due to how the world became in recent times. Greed, corruption, lack of conscience, inhuman nature , covetousness, over desiring and lack of love ❤️ for the country and its citizens has eaten deep into those who call themselves leaders.
At this present time , leadership here in my country has nothing to offer to the next generation to remember them with. This I also know many parts of the world 🌍 are facing. Leadership has been turned into personal dreams where leaders comes into power to embezzle funds and leaves the country in trade deficits. They do not care about the country and its citizens, but their own gains. We only need God’s intervention for things to turn around in my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 because things are really getting out of hand with present Nigeria President Bola Ahmad Tinubu who has turned the country upside down while also acting like a Tyrant.

Yeah, its sad that humanity is dying.
In the past, at least few people put structures in place.
Its sad that the era of free education and agriculture is over.
Thank you for the support @pandex . Blessings 😇💕
