Interesting analysis on short- and long-term dynamics. The nuclear issue is central, but the situation seems extremely complex and difficult to resolve without further escalation. Nuclear power could even resolve the conflict, but who has the courage to drop a third nuclear bomb and kill thousands of civilians? If I were the one to make such a move, I wouldn't have the courage; furthermore, after such an action, a nation's reputation could crumble. Today, we all know the devastating effects of a nuclear weapon.
