My Buying/Selling TCG journey #001

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. Today i wanted to start to share my journey of Trading Card Games, Buying and Selling online. I have been doing some buying these past 4 months. I have been using a bunch of different sites to save money and get the biggest bang for my buck. I use the Drip app to buy Pokemon singles under market price. Drip is a place where individuals or businesses can go live and do Rip and Ships. A rip and ship is where you buy a product like booster packs and open them for who bought them, then ship it to them. Also some users auction off singles. I usually look for people that don't have a lot of viewers so you get less competition. Snag some really great deals this way. Drip has a bonus wheel that you can spin everyday up to 10 times to try to get Credits to get a discount on what you buy. As long as its 25$ or more you can use the credit. It does take a lot more time to get gems to spend on the wheel however. They more reward users for spending money. You use to be able to get sign in streaks and that would pay for your spins on the wheel. They have changed things, not as good as it once was. Still a good place to pick up deals. Don't over pay, always cross reference prices on sites like ebay and TCGplayer. If you use my link for Drip in this article you can receive a credit of $10-250 after you purchase $50 or more. Another site I'm using to try to flip some TCGs is shopgoodwill.com . This site has auctions you can buy that is a little less know so the competition isn't to horrible. I bought a lot of Magic the Gathering cards last month. This was my first purchase on the site. It was about 4k cards for around $220. I think I over paid a little but broken down I made a little money but still need to sell off a bunch of it. I haven't listed anything anywhere besides on eBay for booster pack lots. I used cardconduit.com to sell off the cards worth 1$ or more. I'm still waiting for the lot of cards I sent in to be valued. I should get 1/3rd of the value I spent with less than 40 cards from the lot I bought. If you sell to cardconduit use the code "MTGGOLDFISH" and receive 10% off on fees. Not my code just a discount code from a guy i watch on youtube for Magic the Gathering set updates. I don't really have a opinion on them yet. I will in future posts.

A lesson I have learned is buying and opening packs is a great way to lose capital. I bought some Final Fantasy Sample packs from their Magic the Gathering Universe Beyond set. Paid around 140$ for 10+ packs. Only received about 1/3rd of that back in value. I have watched a lot of openings for different sets on youtube and 95% of the time they don't get there moneys worth. I also use AI to get estimated values of box openings and the results are almost always negative. Unless you can get some great deals its not worth doing. However you can buy gift cards at various discounts on Gameflip.com. You can also spend crypto there in the form of USDC on ETH. If you transfer it to your balance and use it there are no fees on purchases. So its the best way to spend on Gameflip. I check it a few times a day for eBay gift cards. Sometimes I find a seller that is sell them at 17% off. This discount really helps stretch the margins for making profit on eBay. They offer pretty much all gift cards there, not as the same deal but it varies. Check it often for the best deals. A great way to spend crypto and get 0 fees. Also a great place to sell stuff to other people. Use my code "9YMP97" to get a bonus when you sign up.

There is another site im about to start using to sell off bulk. Collectbuysell.com is a really new site. You can buy and sell bulk cards for different prices for various rarity cards. Buyers offer flat rates on various rarities on different popular TCGs. I'm really new to it so I will try it out and report back in another post.
