Medical Tourism - A big emerging theme for Investment.
There was a time, when patients from less developed or undeveloped countries travelled to more developed ones for getting better medical treatment. The theme was same in my country too, when unable to find better equipment's and facilities within the country many individual opt for UK or US or other EU countries for their treatment. These countries used to provide better and advanced services for their patients. However in recent times there is shift in the trend of patients flow. People from developed nations are approaching under developed nation to get their medical treatment. These under developed countries are providing better services at affordable rate. This trend is slowly transforming India as Medical tourism hub.

Traveling for wellness
Medical tourism is the practice of traveling to another country to receive medical, dental, or wellness care. People do this to access treatments that are cheaper, more advanced, or have shorter wait times than in their home country. This practice is growing rapidly due to lower costs, improved travel options, and a wider availability of high-quality services in many countries. The recent medical trends shows that, now India is gradually transforming itself into Medical hub and likewise many people are visiting India for cheaper and affordable medical treatment.
Destination: Wellness
India is Known for affordable and high-quality care, particularly for cardiac bypass, bone marrow transplants, and eye surgery. Treatment like Eye surgery, dental implants , joint replacement, IVF are 90 % cheaper in India. In my recent Eye check up case, to total expense came down to only $4 for consultation and medication. You can compare it with your respective countries cost. While there is a surge in medical tourist in India, how it going to create opportunities for investment. Definitely, the surge means higher profit for the medical institutes but does it open door for investors?
Investment opportunities
The question keeps lurking at many investors mind. In my perspective, the rise in medical tourism added by some government initiative may open a vast scope for investment in healthcare sector. Thousand of people already travelled here for their treatment. The government is planning to offer Now with visa - on - arrival plan for the US and European medical tourist. Through such attractive initiative India could easily becomes a $50 Billion global healthcare hub. Investors should track hospitals chains, diagnostics center, medical infra company that can benefit from this shift in travel flow. There is higher possibility that many Medical tourism stocks may see a strong tailwinds ahead.
In good faith - Peace!!

We have heard about a fair number of people that are traveling down to Mexico to have certain procedures done. I don't know if the quality is any better, but the price definitely is!
That is unusually cheap.
I wonder if such stocks will be available outside Indian jurisdiction.
