Silver taking the headlines

Wild how silver blasted past $40 and is over $41 at the time of writing

this isn't some meme coin, we are talking about an element on the periodic table, silver

There is are a lot of naked shorts out there which in a tldr explanation is basically every $1 the price of silver goes up that is hundreds of millions of dollars lost by these price manipulators

We are getting to a point where the biggest short squeeze of our lifetime might push silver to levels never thought possible in our lifetime

Of course, such a move would be disastrous to the big banks so it's hard to imagine this event ever being allowed to take place. Unless of course the failure of these banks ends up becoming part of a bigger plan

who knows at this point

All I know is that there are a couple of new silver pieces soon to be available to buy and I am ready to jump on them as soon as there is stock :)

There is still a long way for silver to go to get back to the ratio it used to have with gold, right? I remember looking into this a few years ago and I thought it traded at like 12 to 1 or something for a long period of time. Am I wrong on that?

Actually, I just tried looking it up and 50 to 1 is more accurate, with 70 to 1 better over the last 25 years. With gold at $3600 today, that means silver should be over $50 just to approach the average. If it comes into favor or, as you say, a major short squeeze occurs, I don't think a $70 silver price would be out of order. Could get interesting.

Now, how would I go about selling some of the silver coins I've acquired?

that's the thing about silver, you pay a heft premium to get in and when its time to sale you are lucky to find someone to pay you spot

usually there are places that buy gold/silver/platnium that offer great rates. Almost never go to a jewelry store though that's for sure
