Investing in Hive / Leo - But with hardware

How do you like my temporary office? haha

I was always posting on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch. Its the M2 model.

I love it, I got a screen protector that doubles as a paper like feel for using the Apple Pencil. Really works and the matte feel also prevents fingerprint smudges.

I even have a Logitech keyboard that is way better than the apple keyboard

But, posting using the iPad was always really annoying

Its hard to explain but there's these little things that are annoying that added up to a nuisance

So I always wanted a dedicated device that I can use for my Leo/Hive posts

Introducing, my brand new M4 MacBook Pro 14 inch

For now, I just opened the box and am giving her a nice try

This is my very first MacBook. I am not familiar with everything. I am learning on the go

Maybe I will put a "things you need to know" for new users in the background and absorb some knowledge about this device that can help me use it better

Anyone here a big MacBook user? Am I in for a great time with this device?

This is the base model, the M4, there is also M4 PRO and M4 MAX

I really do not do anything intensive

I don't even know how to lol

No high quality video editing to AI stuff.. just simple multitasking and what not

You might ask "why not get the air then" well this model has a better screen. 120 instead of 60. Going to an iPad that is 120 there is no way I can ever "go back" to 60 lol

so this purchase was really for the screen quality

which is why it took a while to come, this is the nano texture display. it is really nice and had to be shipped for the order while the regular screen version was in stock everywhere... apple, bestbuy, amazon, costco..

but this one was worth the premium

My iPad battery would die way too fast. I would put a movie or show on in the background and see most of the battery gone and the iPad super hot

That is another reason I couldn't deal with the iPad, the battery, this MacBook should last me allllllllll day.

I put "sidecar" on, which is using your iPad as a second monitor, and my iPad is dying faster than the MacBook when all its doing is being a screen while the MacBook is doing all the work

For my particular use case, it is super quiet. No real need to have the fan ramp up real high

When I ordered this, was a few weeks ago. I was doing a lot of stuff, travelling here and there. Had my mind occupied by a lot of things

So I purposely stayed away from my usual routine

Leo/Hive was a big part of my day to day. So taking a break from that came with it

I did miss a lot though it seems... what a month to take off

I have a looooooooot to catch up on

So I figured today I will get my LEO premium, make a few posts trying out the new laptop, play around some more with the laptop, and tomorrow start going HAMMMMMMM

One thing I like is the iPhone mirroring. so I took the pic above with my phone, then I mirrored the phone onto my screen, and simply dragged the photo from my phone onto my laptop

SOOOOOO much faster and easier than having to airdrop it to my iPad first ...

how spoiled have we gotten hahaha but all those precious seconds saved can be compounded into something special when used properly and strategically

I have some more gold and silver coming in this week, I think Monday it will come in, so my #silvergoldstackers be ready to see alllll sorts of shiny coins and bars coming
