Maybe you don't understand the title of my post, and if you are a poker player less sense you will find playing memory with some cards that were designed for something else, but that's how my aunt Martina and I use them and we have fun anyway.

This bunch of cards belongs to one of my brothers and I don't know how they ended up in my aunt's hands, the truth is that in some afternoons she takes them out and spreads them on the table and there she spends long minutes playing alone until one day I wanted to participate in her game, she explained it to me, but I did not understand her process 🙃 it is a game that she just made up without rules or anything, just flip the cards and sort them by colors and in her innocence she finds it fun 🥰😍.

So, I explained the game by heart and she, who is smart, understood me. The idea was to turn all the cards face down and look for the ones that matched in color and shape, for example the red hearts, as my aunt does not know how to read or count, since her syndrome did not allow her to do so, but to play we used those two characteristics, whoever found two won and kept playing until he lost and gave the turn to his partner, this game is not as easy as it seems, not for me or my aunt, it took us a while to finish all the cards, the winner was the one who accumulated more and that was me 😅🫣🤭.

My aunt was a bit frustrated, but she laughed quite a bit at the game. Another day I'll give her hints and let her win 😁😬. When I was little I loved playing memory and was very good at it. I will have to practice often, I need to. These cards are nice and on the back they say "Viejo Ron Caldas" must be the brand of some liquor. In the photos there is one where I captured my happy aunt winning.

Jugando memoria con cartas de póker 🤔

Tal vez no entiendas el título de mi publicación, y si eres un jugador de póker menos sentido encontrarás jugar memoria con unas cartas que fueron diseñadas para otra cosa, pero es así como las usamos mi tía Martina y yo y de igual forma nos divertimos.

Este manojo de cartas es de uno de mis hermanos y no sé como fueron a parar en manos de mi tía, lo cierto es que ella en algunas tardes las saca y extiende sobre la mesa y allí pasa largos minutos jugando sola hasta que un día quise participar en su juego, me lo explico, pero no entendí su proceso 🙃 es un juego que ella solo se inventó sin reglas ni nada, solo voltear las cartas y ordenarlas por colores y en su inocencia a ella le parece divertido 🥰😍.

Entonces, yo le expliqué el juego de memoria y ella, que sí es inteligente, me entendió a mí. La idea era voltear todas las cartas boca abajo e ir buscando las que coincidieran en color y figura, por ejemplo la de corazones rojos, como mi tía no sabe leer ni contar, ya que su síndrome no se lo permitió pero para jugar nos sirvió esas dos características, que sean de figuras igual y color y quien encontrará dos ganaba y seguía jugando hasta que perdiera y le cediera el turno a su compañera, este juego no es tan fácil como parece, no para mí ni para mi tía, nos costó un rato terminar todas las cartas, el ganador fue quien acumuló más y esa fui yo 😅🫣🤭.

Mi tía quedó un poco frustrada, pero se rio bastante en el juego. Otro día le daré pistas y la dejaré ganar 😁😬. Cuando era pequeña me gustaba mucho jugar memoria y era muy buena. Tendré que practicar con frecuencia, me hace falta. Estas cartas son lindas y, por su parte, de atrás, dicen “Viejo Ron Caldas” debe ser la marca de algún licor. En las fotos hay una donde capturé a mi tía feliz ganando.
