I hope so too my friend.....π
Once again it pays to live in the foothills, we just have to be careful what road we take when we go down into the valley, some roads can be flooded!π³

Indeed, living a fair bit above sea level is a very good idea for sure. As long as you have a way in and out, you should be good. Drive carefully, my friend! πππβ¨π€
Thank you my friend we will be careful....π
If things really get bad, everyone up on the mountain is temporarily stuck...... that's OK I'll stay home for a while!!π
Of course, Mike, you're very welcome, and that's very good to hear! Haha...I rather like the idea, actually! You guys have a good stock of food and supplies? πππβ¨π€
Yes we always keep a good stock of food and supplies...... and firewood Lol!π
We lived in the extreme high country of Colorado for years, and never needed backup supplies like we do in the Pacific Northwest Lol!π
I figured that you did, and that's really good to hear! That's so interesting, do you get trapped on the on the mountain often there? πππβ¨π€
In 2021 we had a severe flood in the valley, one person was actually killed from the flooding! He tried to drive through floodwaters in his pick up truck, because his employer insisted he come to work, and he was afraid of losing his job.......
So we were basically trapped up on the mountain along with several small communities for a couple of days!
We just talked to one man at church this morning who is actually putting a concrete foundation under his home to jack it up in case it floods like that again!
All the communities up on the mountain are safe when this happens, we just can't drive to town!!
That's awful that the fellow's employer insisted that he come to work under such conditions, and that the poor man actually tried to go, ugh...
That is very good indeed that you and your surrounding community are safe at Holy moly, that's wild! That's excellent, my friend, and may it remain so! πππβ¨π€
It is very sad that money rules the world, and this man was afraid of losing his employment, and ended up losing his lifeπ
Money is supposed to add to and support our lives, not control them, or make employment and making money so serious. πππβ¨π€
I 100% agree my friend!ππ
Someone said he was supporting a large family, and could not afford to miss a days payβ¦ π
On another topicβ¦β¦ check out tonightβs post from @elizabethbit !π₯°
If you remember, Cabbage Patch dolls, Liz handcrafted this doll for our baby granddaughter for Christmas!π€
Liz is so happy!!π₯°
That's such a sad situation, ugh! It makes me very grateful for my simple life!
Awww...that sounds so sweet! I'll go take a peek and say 'hi' right now! πππβ¨π€
ππβ¦β¦ I am sure Liz will like that!π₯°
I did, and I hope so! Her doll came out wonderfully well! πππβ¨π€
We both hope our granddaughter Olivia enjoys this doll many years from now!π₯°
I'm sure that she will, my friend, and I'd say that she'll appreciate it very much now, and many years from now! πππβ¨π€
I think she will my friend!!π€ππ
She may even pass it on to her daughter! πππβ¨π€
That would be an awesome thought my friend!!ππ
