Well….. it looks like the Weather forecast was wrong again…………….😮
Instead of rain in the morning, and cloudy all afternoon, it decided to rain all day long Lol! 😅
It’s always good to have a backup plan for the day.
Next on Silvertop’s agenda, (after firewood), is remodeling Liz’s laundry room.
Firewood cutting, splitting, and stacking, temporarily has been taking me down another “bunny trail” Lol!😇
I opened my garage door this morning………
My chainsaw was gassed up and ready!
That’s when I came face to face with a cold drizzling rain!😳
Today’s not going to work for cutting firewood…….🤔
I could hear my neighbor outside running his John Deere tractor…………in the rain!
Nope…… not Silvertop!😇
There are people in the Pacific Northwest, that just ignore a day of liquid sunshine, and carry on like it’s a Sunny day Lol☺️
Silvertop learned a long time ago, that it’s better to “Work smarter, Not harder”!😇
Inside work today my friends………..
The Mrs laundry room has one new window.
So instead of playing “Lumberjack” I put on my finish trim carpentry hat!
Our home has the Cabin” look, so it was fitting to carry this into the laundry!😊
If you look hard, you can actually find number three grade Sitka Spruce lumber.
Number three is the lowest grade and it shows……….😮
On the outside, this wood looks rough, but with some sanding, its true beauty is revealed!😊
Each inside trim board for this window, needed to be fitted, and then power sanded with a 40 grit 4 inch X 4 inch sander, to reveal it’s true beauty!😅
It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s definitely worth the effort!☺️
Two small inside vertical trim 1 1/2 inch boards to go, and then I trim the outside!🤗
“Liz…. I’m making progress!”🥰
Once again the Weather forecast is just cloudy skies tomorrow……. we will see Lol!🤣
Maybe Silvertop will be back to being a lumberjack Lol!☺️
If not…….. Silvertop will be once again cutting wood …..just inside!😇

That looks like a very cozy house. We don't do fireplaces here, but Lily and enjoyed them when we were in Germany with my family over Christmas. She was quite fascinated by the little oven ventilators. And rightly so. Very cool technique and idea.
Looks like you got a nice walk out in the woods, too! I just woke up to a looooot of rain and it's market day. Hope it settles before that. Usually it does...

I really like the heat from our wood stove!😀
When I was a kid I used to think poor people burned wood for heat, my parents had a gas furnace in the house....
Now I realize how much I missed as a kid Lol!!😇😀
In Germany it's standard now, with the high prices for all kind of energy.
