"John, please see me in my office when you are in, thanks" reads the WhatsApp message from Kenny.

John was thinking to himself it must have something to do with the department budget he has submitted yesterday for Kenny's review and his upwards submission.

He has revised the budget plan 3 times over the last 2 weeks, as a trained statistician, John wants to ensure his number tells a story that will not be labelled as not representative of the facts on the ground. As he is in the maintenance department, his top of the pareto item would be parts and repair service cost.

With what he has learnt and his experience on the ground over the past few years, he took the average of the total cost over the years and budget an additional buffer amount as tools like human ages and will need more maintenance like our health care cost.

Kenny wants John to reduce his projection to illustrate an effort of cost saving with the implantation of AI, which is to John a misrepresentation of the facts, not considering if the model is a good fit and the rising cost of service request and also limitation of stock and not factoring many unforeseen circumstances.
