The nurse passed James a pair of scissors after hearing the loud cries of the new born.
"Daddy, congratulations? It's a baby boy, time to cut the cord"
A visibly touched James who has accompanied his wife Junie through the whole delivery process, slowly snaps the cord linking his son and his wife with steady hand. After he cuts the cord and hands the scissors back to the nurse, he reached out to his wife and plants a kiss on her forehead saying his thanks and appreciationfor Junie.
Our journey of life indepedently all begins when the doctor or our father cuts the cord and bring us to the world. It also means we leave the safe zone of our mother's womb that we had stayed rent free for months and sharing nutrients from our mother, putting her body to the test and adding weight to her.
Cutting the cord also signify the meaning our parents are responsible for us in a different way from that during pregnancy stages. Thus cutting the cord is not merely a simple action but behind this action it has various significance of life.
