Put the comments at the end of the book if you want the story to feel like a real novel; chapter-by-chapter commentary interrupts momentum and breaks immersion. If the commentary adds important context, use brief endnotes or a short “Behind the Chapter” section after the full text instead. Your Chapter Posts project looks like it’s built around serialized storytelling and worldbuilding, so preserving flow matters more than inserting analysis between scenes. The exception is if you’re publishing it as an annotated edition for readers who specifically want craft notes—in that case, light notes after each chapter can work, but standard fiction usually keeps that material in back matter Times Union.
