A happy old man!

In a village, there lived an old man. He was always gloomy and complained all the time. The villagers had become accustomed to his negativity. But on his 80th birthday, something strange happened. Suddenly, it spread everywhere that the old man was not complaining today, but instead had a sweet smile on his face!

Everyone was surprised and asked him, "What happened to you today? Are you very happy?" The old man replied calmly, "The truth is, for the past 80 years, I have been chasing happiness and in the process, I only complained. But today I have decided that I will no longer search for happiness. Rather, I will just enjoy life with what I have. And that is why today I am calm and happy."
