Countdown to U.S. Attack: American Senator Reveals White House's Secret Plan

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has revealed the possibility of a U.S. military attack on Venezuelan soil, while the White House claims its goal is 'fighting drug trafficking.' However, observers say Washington is using this excuse to try to overthrow Maduro's government.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated that the U.S. military is expanding its presence in the Caribbean Sea, which, according to the U.S. President, is aimed at combating drug cartels. Graham added that this operation, currently unfolding in waters near Venezuela, could potentially extend onto Venezuelan soil.
According to the American website Axios, Senator Graham told reporters that the President of the United States intends to brief members of Congress on a possible military operation against Venezuela and Colombia.
Graham also claimed that it seems he has come to the conclusion that the time has come for Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, to step down from power.
The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations previously sent letters to members of the Security Council, urging the body to acknowledge the illegitimacy of the U.S. attack carried out under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.
