SmeltedBrain: Detention Mushrooms

Be warned, this is a re-post from my instagram account which can be found under the tag @smeltedbrain. This is an account dedicated entirely to my doodles, and art, inspired mostly by traveling the world... and psychedelics of course 🤪 😁

Maybe I should have a Hive account dedicated to this art of mine... but for now here is what I'm posting on Instagram. I would love to eventually learn to tattoo, or at least see some of my work done by someone great!

I do have one of my own pieces on my arm, is it time to continue??? Maybe, maybe... Only time will tell.

Oh did we have fun in the 90's!!!! This here, I made in High School durring a long detention period... I must have spent half the day there.

The best part of it is that we could kind of do what we wanted with what was available. There wasn't much, so I asked for a piece of paper and started doodling. I wanted some symmetry for this one so I drew a circle, folded my paper in half and went to town making squiggles with a pencil.

When I was satisfied with it, I folded my paper inside out on the same fold line, so the drawing was on the inside . This is where I asked for some tape... it must have been my art teacher who was in charge of looking over detention at that time or something, because who ever it was let me stick my paper to the window while I traced what I had drawn on a blank side of the paper.

This was a bit tough to do standing up against the window, and I had to do it again to get it all on one side.

No light box, no problem!
