Easter Saturday
It's easter season and everyone is either getting ready for the church service or for the egg hunting tomorrow, or a little bit of both.
I for one have been thinking about it all.
Easter, the death and resurrection of Christ.
I'm not one to talk about religion, nor write about it..
Yet I do love me a good story, and a good story always has a wonderful plot twist.
The man who claimed to be the son of God, publicly crucified and killed and then is walking on the streets three days later...
The Easter story is one of our most well known stories. Yet it has one of the most overlooked symbolisms, one that I just realized now.
Jesus had amassed a huge following before crucified, enough that the Pharisee's were threatened, threatened so much that they conspired to kill him.
The story of Easter talks about two themes, his death and resurrection three days later.
The celebration of Easter by most Christians nowadays celebrates just that: Good Friday and the resurrection on Easter Saturday.
(Except maybe the Catholics who have a full on mass on Saturday)
The Saturday is an essential time of the Easter story actually, I believe it's even the most important day.
This is the time of mourning. The time of truth..
The time when the apostles, disciples and Pharisee's actually understood that he had died.
Cue solemn music
This is something that's already known yet it made such an impression to me today that I just had to write about it.
The amount of people who had left their lives for him, the amount of people who lived their lives for him, the amount of people in his crowd who's lives were Him.
The first spread of the news, then the the disbelief and shock, it would have been quite a sight.
After so many miracles, he was killed just like that.
Yet the major plot twist that was building up when Mary ran to the room where the apostle's were staying to say He Had Risen.
When they realized their Saturday was over. Their mourning was over.
That Easter has come, and with it, a new dawn, a new hope.

I think we call it holy Saturday here but I don’t remember exactly.
Easter is for sure one of those times of year that help us do a deep reflection on a lot of different topics related to the Bible! I think this one is a little better than Christmas because it’s not so commercial. It’s filled with eggs and candy and stuff but not as horrible as Christmas is lol
😂😂
The commercialization of Christmas is insane to be honest 😂😂
