Thanks for the reply.
I encourage you to study the way HIVE is distributed so that you will understand that the little people always lose. Yes, you can form tribes that have curation trails and get some votes from that, but if you look at the bigger picture, the more activity taking place on-chain, the more HIVE that gets created out of thin air. That is called 'inflation' which erodes the value of any HIVE you collect.
When small accounts vote, the amount returned as curation is not linearly proportional to the vote value, so smaller accounts will benefit less than the bigger accounts. That's why these 'projects' can give tiny rewards (from the extra they earn). However, as these 'projects' grow, the owners are the real beneficiaries because their accounts are the ones that grow the fastest. This puts more and more power into the hands of the few. There can NEVER be actual decentralization on this platform because of the way it was set up when it began. The few hold all voting power (stolen from Steemit during the hard fork) and will only get bigger as time passes unless they cash out. They will not cash out until they see that the platform has been bled dry (which is bound to happen eventually, just as the US dollar is systematically being driven to zero value through inflation).
This is why I don't bother to create posts and simply enjoy participating in the games. There is very little chance that a small account will be permitted to use the techniques the big accounts use to bleed the system. If you become a threat to their income, they shut you down with negative votes. The platform is totally corrupt, so I suggest you use it just for fun and do not take it too seriously.
There was a time (before HIVE broke away from STEEM) that money did flow freely and whale accounts actually voted on starter accounts with huge votes; but those days are long gone. All that is left is the long slide into oblivion, kept alive as long as possible with hopium. The hope is that little people will continue to add money from their pockets while the big boys suck it all out.
You make some valid points about HIVE distribution and how inflation affects smaller accounts. It’s true that the system favors bigger accounts, and smaller accounts earn comparatively less. Downvotes from larger stakeholders can also affect visibility and rewards. I agree that HIVE can’t be fully decentralized in practice, and one shouldn’t rely purely on financial gains. Using HIVE for fun, learning, and community engagement is probably the healthiest mindset, with rewards as a bonus rather than the main goal.
However, I haven’t seen a single platform where larger accounts don’t benefit more than smaller ones. Platforms like HIVE, STEEM, and BLURT all issue new tokens as rewards, which causes inflation (correct me if I’m wrong).
While whales and tribe or community owners do tend to benefit more as projects grow, I think that delegating HP for small bonuses is still reasonable, at least while using HIVE for fun, until a better platform comes along.
