I didn't think it was that bad. I think it does a pretty good job teaching new players the basics of Splinterlands. Yes, it was boring for us, but we played for years. This is not about us, but all for new players.

Even taking into account that it's not really for existing players, I still found it just extremely poorly implemented. It's the story of Splinterlands, high potential but just awful game design. If anything, I really have enjoyed my time off from Splinterlands and I'm not sure that I will be able to get back to a manual daily grind once Survival Mode is back.
