Since you are planting potatoes, I guess I better get on with that, too. I am trying to figure out how to garden without tilling and without using much water, since our water company wants to raise our rates by 79%. Hmmm.

It is amazing how "helpful," they try to be. Right now the Void is trying to bite my fingers in between staring at me with no small amount of judgment as I type this...

I got a notice a bit ago that our power rates are going up, again. But nothing to the tune of 79%, that's more than a bit steep! Good luck with the planting and irrigation, I think I would be heading to Athol and getting a bunch of water catchment barrels lol!

I wonder how early in the season I'd have to start collecting rainwater to get me through the entire summer? And would I have the energy to painstakingly water the entire garden by hand, out of the barrels? Not likely. My brain really likes the idea, but my body has other thoughts.
